Just noticing that their was people in the room, Alex poked his head back in it and looked at them confused.
"Why are you all here?" he asked.
They all looked at him and saw something strange about him. He felt different. Everyone but Sky got up and walked over to Alex. "Alex you seem different. Your eyes changed again and your right hand..." said Owen. Alex looked at him weirdly and brought his right hand up to his face. Their he looked at his hand and saw that his hand had a black type of metal that seemed really light. He moved his fingers and it seemed like it was his fingers.
His hand felt normal and it seemed his hand transformed. It seemed to be like a metal hand but it was alive and he had full function over it. Alex smiled and knew he was closer to controlling his power.
"It's nothing." he put his hand in his pocket and continued talking, "I've completed making the boat thing. We can leave by tomorrow if we ready. Ima take a shower real quick." Alex said and grabbed some clothes from his backpack and quickly left the room trying to get away from the tense room.
Alex got in the cold water that was in the small cave. He clenched his hands and unclenched trying to see the difference between them. The only difference he has was the look and all the power that surged through his body from his hand.
Alex grabbed a rock and hit his hand with it. Feeling almost nothing, he touched the ending of where skin met metal and went along with it.
It stung a bit but he didn't mind. Alex was starting to be able to control his power. It was exciting and a nervous feeling. Alex looked in the water and saw his eyes. He was a bit surprised, but it quickly settled down for his eyes change a lot now. The pupil had a black spider like shape which was then surrounded by a light blue color.
He washed the blood off him and went back where everyone was waiting. They were getting ready for they were going to leave tomorrow. Alex watched as Sky and Copper spoke with Ishibashi and the other two old men.
Alex went to his room and packed up his stuff, which was barely anything. He shoved some spare clothes into it and some tools.
Alex walked out of the cave for the storm stopped but they wanted to leave tomorrow to get ready. Alex quickly went away from the cave hole and put out his right hand.
Alex closed his eyes then he concentrated on it and imagined a spear. A spear not to heavy but had some weight to it. He imagined a very sharp tip, which could pierce anything. Alex felt something to form in his hand but kept on conterating.
Alex thought about how the shaft should feel against his hand. Alex opened his eyes and saw a spear, but it quickly disappeared. Alex was amazed on how quick he was starting to catch on.
Alex closed his eyes and kept on doing the same thing. He felt something in his hands but kept his eyes closed for a little longer. He opened his eyes and saw the spear again, this time having a good look. It was all black and their seemed to be black smoke radiat from it.
It then disappeared. Alex smiled for he was getting closer and closer each time. Alex kept on doing the same thing over and over being able to keep the spear longer and longer. Rain started to pour from the sky. Alex who was startled by the sudden rain, jogged back to the entrance with a huge smile on his face.
The next few hours were reciting the plan and grabbing everything they needed.
The next day, everyone waited at the mouth of the cave. While waiting, they said goodbye to the three old men. The storm suddenly stopped and they all quickly ran towards the water.
During free time, Sky would teach her mother how to swim which was really helpful, for they didn't really need to worry about her drawing.
They swam passed the big waves and kept swimming till there wasn't any of the big waves. Alex quickly grabbed his pieces of wood and tied them together. Alex looked around so they could connect it to each other. Alex found Owen and tied their pieces together. They did the same thing with the other guys as well.
Alex grabbed his paddle from his pack and so did the others. They began to paddle out of the range of the storm as quick as possible.
After a few hours they were sure they were out of the range of the storm. They panted heavily. Alex tied the pieces more firmly making sure that the pieces won't disconnect from each other.
After taking a few minutes of rest, they began to paddle towards the direction where the sun was raising from.
While in Artemia, Alex figured out that the sun was in the direction of where the island settled.
They took shifts, taking turns switching every two hours. Alex paddled and thought of an idea. Something could go wrong but if it worked then they would be going at least three times faster.
"I think if i used my wings, we would be going a lot faster." Alex said putting the pedal down.
Copper who was one of the guys who were helping paddle thought of it and nodded. Johnny looked at him weirdly and said, "True but what if something went wrong?"
Alex thought of it but then shook his head. "Something could go wrong but i've been practicing for a while now, so i'm sure i would be fine."
Agnes who has been quit the whole time said, "We would go a lot faster with the use of the wings. Lets try it."
Alex smiled and nodded his head. He jumped in the water and looked at the direction they were heading. Alex took a breath in and said, "Hold on tight."
He then felt a pain on his back and felt the wings come out. Alex grunted and breathed in.
He pushed the wings until the started to get faster and faster. They soon speeded through the water. The quick movement woke the others and the held for dear life. After a few hours of speeding, they saw it. Artemia. Alex seeing this, flapped harder. Alex ignored the pain on his shoulders. His fingers started to bleed as he was holding onto the raft to hard but he didn't care. All he knew was that they needed to get to Artamia.
Alex slowed down once near the beach. Alex exhausted kept on going until he was sure that they were able to get onto the sand.
Alex smiled and his lower body fell into the water while his chest and upper body hanged onto the raft.
The group watched as he slept and were startled as they heard people shouting. Alex's wings folded behind his back. The group surrounded the people but froze at the sight of the wings.
A few days later
Alex woke up in the infirmary. Alex looked around and saw that Mr. Today was sitting in a chair reading book. Alex got up and felt his wings. Alex quickly put his wings away and saw that Mr. Today watched in fascination as they folded into his back.
"What beautiful wings." Mr Today had said when Alex was done.
Alex shrugged and tried to walk but almost fell. Alex kept on trying to walk until he was able to walk properly.
"You heal very quickly." Mr. Today continued.
"What happen when we were gone." Alex asked sitting down back on his bed.
"Sean saved the three kids but some trouble has happen while you were out. The wanteds are now attacking and their leader has figured out how to use mag-" mr. Today was cut short by a loud explosion outside.
"Change and get outside as quickly as possible. It seemed that they are here." Mr. Today ordered.
Alex quickly grabbed the clothes on a stand and quickly ran outside to see people fighting.
Just then out of nowhere a lion with wings flew down from the air and crashed into a group of people wearing green. Mr. Today had told them that it represented their soldiers.
