Alex and The Unwanteds

Part 17

Alex then realized that he wasn't feeling pain. Alex raised his arm and got out of the water. Alex then thought of ways to distinguish the fire. Maybe it was like his wings. All he had to do was think of the fire disappearing. Alex watched as the fire immediately.

Alex then thought of how he got this power. It wasn't from his family heritage. Alex then remembered Hestia and Alex smiled. He promised that he was to owe her.

Alex was later called to the dinning hall which was outside. They all got their food and they all put it in the fire. Alex shoved all his food into the fire causing some people to question him.

Alex thanked Hestia for the power and soon later went back into the forest for he wasn't hungry. Alex was starting to be worried for Sky for he haven't received any news but remembered what the old man told him and kept walking until he came to a opening.

Alex sat down and raised both of his arms. He thought of his being on fire. Nothing happen for a second but it then appeared. Alex smiled and looked into the sky.

He raised a hand and thought of flames flying outwards and so it did. It drained him a little but Alex kept on training until he saw that he have been working all night. Alex was tired for being up so Alex sat next to a tree and closed his eyes falling to sleep.

Alex had the usual nightmares and woke up with blood pouring from his lips and from his nose. Alex sighed and patched himself up.

He headed back and was tossing a ball of fire into the air and would catch it repeating it. He kept doing it until he reached a clearing where the camp was.

There was a group of people and Alex walked over to see what was going on. Alex saw the girls with silver and a man with a body of a horse and and upper body of a man talking. Alex then realized it was the old man from before.

Alex stood behind the crowded and watched as they discussed together. Alex caught a eye of a hunter who narrowed her eyes. Alex just stared at her and waved. She looked at him strangely and looked away.

Alex looked at each of their faces trying to spot somebody. Alex didn't see Sky, so he walked away from the group and sat next to a tree. Alex made a small fire snake and let it slither around his fingers before dispersing.

Alex felt the sudden urge to forge something. Or maybe even carve. Alex touched his back pockets and felt his tools for carving. Alex looked around for a think branch. Alex was picking some branches from the ground and inspecting them.

Just then, Alex was tapped in the shoulder and saw Sky. Alex eyes widened and he hugged her. After releasing, he kissed her.

A few minutes later, Alex was sitting on a trunk of a tree with Sky. Alex started to cut off all the pieces that were unnecessary, and made a small looking ball shape of wood. Alex then started to carve out lines around the ball, making spider like webs.

After finishing the lines, Alex traced them and put a red streak of fire making sure that it won't burn the wood. Alex then tossed it into the air and catched it.

Sky was going to say something but then there was a loud booming sound. Everyone's attention went to the hill and saw that that there was a crack. Everyone quickly grabbed weapons and armor and ran towards the hill. Alex and Sky went after them to see what was happening.

Once at the hill, they were surprised by a small army of monsters which seemed to be leaded by a man with blond hair. He raised his hands to signal an attack. All the monsters then quickly ran towards the hill but the front line where completely destroyed by arrows and spears.

The second layer though made it to the top of the hill and the action began. Alex spawned spears and jumped into the sky concentrating explosive fire power in his feet.

Sending him flying, he threw spears at all directions hitting all their targets. Alex then landed on a monster and exploded its face using the fire sending him into the air again.

Alex grabbed the ball he made earlier and threw it into the crowd causing someone to catch flame.

Alex then took out his wings pushing monsters back. He quickly turned and stabbed a tall monster in both knees with the spears making it bend over and put a spear in his forehead.

Alex the surrounded himself with fire and exploded making the fire into the horde of monsters, slicing them like blades. Alex panted for he still needed to practice his newfound powers.

The monsters started to run but where either killed off by the hunters arrows or Alex's spears.

The blond man who had his arms down now, smiled, sending a shiver through everyone's spines. He took a step forward but was immediately melted with arrows.

But once all the arrows made contact with his skin, they bounced off. He kept walking forward and was pelted by another wave of arrows but doing nothing.

Then a small group of four with swords tried stabbing him but the swords all broke. The blondie grabbed one by the throat and threw him onto one guy sending both flying to a nearby tree.

The blondie then pulled out his sword and was about to slice it into one of the guys but then a big gush of water pushed him back. The blondie turned his attention to Percy.

Alex watched as Percy kept spraying water at his body pushing him away from the hill, but suddenly he laughed and said, "This is child's play."

He swiped the water, sending the water to stop. Percy's eye narrowed and gripped his sword. Just then Percy made himself fly forward using the water in the ground. Percy's sword collided with his chest but nothing happen.

Percy then began to slice and different spot trying to hit something but was having a hard time for he was being cut. Just then everyone with a sword or a weapon meant for close range ran towards him.

But then the blondie put his sword in the ground sending around him flying but then were slowed down in the air. It seemed that time was slowed around the blond man.
