Alex and The Unwanteds

going to come with us. We are going to leave in about four hours. I woke you up so you can get ready." Alex said.

"That's fine and ya i know them." Sky sat on her hammock and grabbed the backpack Alex gave to her. Alex watched as she her clothes in it and a spare dagger she kept. They walked below decks to grab some food and they put it in the bag.

Later on they met up with Carina and Will who got their people.

Carina chose two people who gladly came along. One was a male named Owen and a girl named Alice while Will got a nurse name Agnes and a guy named Johnny.

Alex told them about who was gonna wait on the ship so they could escape. Alex told them when he was exploring the ships, he found a particular ship which had food and supplied which they could use. Everyone but Alex, Sky, Carina, and Owen were going to go down and try to save her. Alex told them what she looked like. He also told them about what the pirate told him about.

After finishing they all stood in silence. Sean who was listening said, "We'll try and meet up at Artemia. We'll most likely will be the first ones to make it back. I'm pretty sure you guys have somebody who can steer a ship?"

"I can." Alex said.

Sean nodded and continued, "you guys can use two of the lifeboats. That should be enough. Alright guys good luck." They all walked towards the two lifeboats that were in the water already. Alex got the once that was ahead of the other one. Once on it he grabbed the pedals and waited patiently as the others got on to the sail boats.

Once they were on, Alex started to peddle around this island towards the boat. Once their, Alex told everyone that their were going to leave the sailboats for they were going to have to jump to boat to boat.

Once aboard one of the ships, Alex looked around for a red ribbon he put on a ship. Once he found he he told them to follow him.

After a couple of minutes jumping to boat to boat, they made it to the boat. Once everyone was ready Alex told Will and the others to do when they had to escape. They were to pull the ropes for the sails to set and Will was to make sure their were going straight. After going on over on how to do it, they were ready.

Alex, Sky, Carina, and Owen went back to a lifeboat and paddled it over to the shore of the island. Alex also brought the mask, which the pirate had to breath underwater.

He handed it over to Sky who asked, "What's this for?"

"It's to breath underwater. I saw the pirate using and i know that you can't hold your breath too long." Alex responded.

She thanked him and the four of the looked down on the city. Everyone was a bit nervous but Alex. He went over again on where Sky's mother lived. They were to come go and if possible not get into fights. Alex pointed at and ally way which ran halfway towards the house they were trying to get. It seemed nobody was their and so they were to go that way.

After getting ready they dived into the water. As they swam deeper and deeper, the colder and colder it would get.Once at the door, the pressed a button and went in. It seemed like a door with a room between another door.

The water that went in with them seem to drain. They breathed in heavily as the water went down. Alex looked into a corner which seemed to a box filled with it.

"Put your mask in here. Well come back and you can grab a mask for your mother." Alex told Sky. She nodded and put it in the box.

After a few minutes of trying to relax, Alex said, "On three will run towards over their." as he pointed towards the beginning of the ally way. Their was about a twenty foot large opening so they were going to have really fast. "Once their run all out to the end. If seen just keep running unless you could do anything about it."

They all nodded and took in a deep breath.

"Three, two, one, go!" Alex said. He pressed the button and they ran as fast they could to the ally way. They hid behind a box of crates as they took in a deep breath.

"I don't think anyone saw us." Owen said.

"Alright let's go." Alex said. They ran in the ally way with no trouble until they reached the end of it. Their seemed to be a large crowd of people watching a man sell off his merchandise to people. Alex crouched and said "We should take this chance while everyones distracted.

They all crouched/ran to the other side of the street. Sadly, someone saw them and immediately figured them out as intruders from the way they looked.

They yelled alarmingly and started pointing at them. Everyone looked on what was happening. They also saw them and they took out their weapons and ran after them

The four ran as fast as the could towards the house. Alex who was ahead of the other threw his spear towards a man's chest knocking him down. He knew it wouldn't kill him.

While passing him, Alex grabbed the spear and kept running ahead of everyone.

Alex saw the lampost and the red door. He turned around and lets Carina, Sky, and Owen pass. Sky noticing what he was doing stopped and turned shouting "Cmon!"

"No! You guys get her while i'll hold them for a short time. I'll meet up back with you in a sec!" Alex shouted. Sky didn't want to go but she had to. She ran towards the door and Owen kicked it open. There was a man who had a sword drawn but looked like he could barely hold it. Sky looked at the women who was beside him.

"Mother?" Sky asked.

"Sky is that you?" said the mother.

"Sorry to break up your meetup but Alex is trying to fend off the guys. We gotta go. Now." said Carina as she looked at the old man.

"Go, i'll try to convince them to calm down. It might now work but i'll try." said the old man. He dropped the sword and walked to the door.

"Thank you sir." said Sky's mother. The man nodded and walked towards where Alex was.

Alex had trouble fending them all by himself. He turned and ran knocking down things to make the people fall. It worked causing them to tumble on each other.

Alex's body really was hurting from all the slices and stab wounds. He ran as fast as he could but ran into a old man making them both fall.

"Alex? Is that really you?" asked the old man.

Alex who was feeling a bit light headed got up and looked at the old man. Realizing who it was, Alex eyes widened. He looked around the corner to see the group starting to get up.

"We've gotta go." Alex said picking up the old man. The old man was surprised to see his grandson here. Realizing that they were here to save the girls mother the old man looked at Alex realizing he had change so much.

"Alex put me down." said the old man.

Alex who was running with all of his might shook his head. "I've got to get you out of here."

"You won't make it with me slowing you down. You have to leave me." said the grandfather.

"I've lost you once. I wont lose you again. You're all I have." Alex said. Just then a arrow flew out of nowhere and hit Alex in the thigh making him fall. The old man fell out of Alex's grip.

Alex tried to get up, but the arrow hit him at a spot in his thigh where he couldn't get up. Just then two more arrows flew landing one of his back an on the hand which Alex reached out to the old man.

"Cmon, cmon!" Alex shouted as he tried to get up but failed. Another arrow hit him in the back. Alex crawled towards the old man who fell unconscious.

Out of the corner of his eye, Alex saw Sky and the others watching. They couldn't do anything. They would be killed immediately if they tried.

Hands grabbed his and pulled him away from the old man. Alex yelled and tried to get back to the old man.
