Alex and The Unwanteds

Part 12

Once near Alex had to avoid hitting large rocks. Then out of nowhere there was an abrupt stop and everyone fell forward. Alex went to the side of the ship and saw they crashed into a small island.

"We are going to swim to the island. The ship is stuck." Alex shouted. Alex grabbed a rope and told everyone to tie it to someones part of the body. A large wave came and slammed into them making them slide across the deck.

"We have to jump!" Alex yelled and they all jumped into the sea. They all did their best to swim. Alex assisted Sky's mom and they made it to shore. Heavy rain pelted them and the found a rock to hide under.

They hid under the rock until the storm would pass. Sky sat next to Alex who put a arm around to give her some body warmth. The others did the same thing trying to get the smallest warmth from each others body.

They stayed like this for hours waiting for the storm to go away. Finally the storm came to a stop and the all got out to look around to see where they were stranded.

They saw the ship but there was a hole in the bottom and it was slowly starting to sink.

Alex swam to the ship to try to recover anything edible or anything. Alex finding everyone's backpack's he grabbed as much as he could and swam back and went back and forth bringing tools from the ship.

They had spare clothes but which were wet. They had some of their weapons which they could use to get food. There was some tools like Alex's carving tools but that's it. They seemed to be stranded on an island. Alex looked around and saw how ugly this place was. There was barley and trees and rocks were everywhere.

Then he found and small old man looking at them. Alex waved at the man and the man just looked at him.

Alex looked back and then walked towards the man saying, "Hi my names Alex. Are you also stranded here?"

The old man said a bunch of random words which Alex didn't understand.

"I'm sorry I don't understand. Do you know english?" Alex asked.

The old man nodded and he raised a finger. "My name is Ishibashi." He said taking a while to say it.

Alex smiled and said, "Can my friends come and say hi."

The man thought of the words to say. "Yes, follow. Hurry. Storm." Alex called his friends over and they followed the man towards a cave. They all looked at each other and then followed him when they heard thunder.

Once in two more old men walked in and looked at them and then to Ishibashi. They spoke in their language and the group waited for instructions.

"You allow to stay here. No mess. My english will be back in a day." said ishibashi. He showed us where to sleep. As they went deeper inside, the more amazed they were. Their was like a whole cave system. There was a place to cook, rooms to sleep in, and even a lab.

"When english back, we talk." said Ishibashi. "Dont go outside when rain. Bad to, very bad."

They all thanked him and went into the tho rooms. There was three rooms which they all split up to. Alex immediately went to a random one and layed down on a bed falling immediately to sleep.

Sky and Sky's mother watched as Alex sleepily walked into a room and figured he was going to sleep. They watched as the other avoided the room and went to the other rooms and occupied them.

Sky went into the room where Alex was sleeping soundly. Sky's mother followed her daughter into the room.

"I feel so sad for him. He seems to be holding a lot in. When I first saw him I believed that my master was related to him and it seems so." Sky's mother said. Sky agreed. They all saw what happened when the pirates killed the person that resembled Alex.

"Also mom, dont worry about him. His really trustworthy. He'll protect us if anything were to happen to us." said Sky.

Sky's mother asked, "Do you love him?"

Sky was startled by her question and blushed when her thoughts immediately went when they were kissing in the cargo place.

"So that's a yes." Sky's mother said. "He seems like a young and strong man. But that doesn't mean you guys could try anything as long as it front of me."

"Mom!" Sky said in a loud whisper, face really red.

"I'm off to sleep. I suggest you go to sleep as well." she said smiling and headed to a bed in a corner. Sky went over to a bed and laid on it. He thoughts drifted back at when they were kissing. Her face grew red when he felt his soft but rough hands on her stomach and how soft his lips felt against hers. What was going to happen if they hadn't stopped? Sky felt a bit dizzy and told herself to stop thinking those dirty things. She closed her and drifted into sleep.

Alex woke up gasping drenched in sweat. He couldn't sleep for he kept remembering the face and the eyes that seemed so cold and dead. His limp body that laid on the ground. Alex gulped and wiped the sweat from his forehead.

He looked around and saw Sky and her mother sleeping. Alex walked up and kissed Sky on the forehead. Alex walked out of the room, which had a blanket for privacy. He stretched and looked around.

Seeing Ishibashi and the two other old men work on something he sat down on a chair and watched as they put something piece by piece. Alex leaned the chair backwards and looked outside of the to see if the rain was still going on.

He looked at his watch and realized that it was broken. Alex took it off and went back into his room. He grabbed his pack and walked back out. He put his pack on the table and grabbed his tools. It He took of the glass on the watch and began to move the mechanical parts of the watch.

After putting every mechanical part back, He grabbed the glass he used before and grabbed a cloth. He dried the glass and made sure there wasn't any hand prints. After finishing fixing the watch, he looked on his reflection and fell backwards dropping the watch onto the floor and tripping over his chair.

Ishibashi and the two guys got up from what they were doing. Alex grabbed his hair and tried pulling a lock. Seeing it was white Alex looked at ishibashi and asked him what color of what his hair was.

Ishibashi looked at him strangely and responded saying white.

Alex stood frozen and rushed to the mouth of the cave. He looked around and seeing nothing he walked back.

"I'm sorry for the comotion." Alex said.

"It ok." ishibashi said, "You no know hair white?"

Alex nodded and picked up the chair. Ishibashi looked at him strangely and they went back as he told him of what he heard.

Alex sat back down on the chair. It really seemed that he had turn to his former self. The part of what he which he despised was starting to come out again.

He sighed. In some ways it was good. He would be able to create some things which would be nice. He also seemed to control part of the thing inside him.

A few minutes later a thought struck him. Where they going to be stuck here forever? Alex thought about making a ship and then sailing out but that would take years with barely anything here. There was about thirty minutes of sunlight everyday at the same moment when Alex asked Ishibashi.

Alex thought about making surfboards and to try using that. It would be a pain to get back but it would be better than swimming. Maybe if they made a board and then they would be able to connect once they were out of the storms reach. That seemed like the most logical plan so far.

It would take some time but at least it wouldn't take years. If lucky, it would take about a month or two at most. Alex stretched, he would have to ask the others later to see if they would agree to the plan.

Alex pulled out the necklace from his pocket and looked at it. It was a sharp green tooth which was held onto the string by a metal thing. It glowing once a while.
