Alex and The Unwanteds

Part 16

"Hello, my name in Chiron, the director of this camp. This two find young lads are named Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase." finally said the man Chiron.

Alex still looking at the man said, "Alex."

The man was about to say something but was interrupted by the blondie saying, "No last name? Also what kind of monster are you?"

Alex narrowed and eye at her and shook his head, "I don't have a middle name." Alex looked at the man named Chiron and said, "Where's the girl that was with me?"

Chiron looked at him and said, "The Hunters took her."

Alex looked at him strangely and took a step towards him. "Where?"

"You don't have to worry about her. She's in good hands. The girls you met earlier treat girls as family, so she would be fine." said Chiron.

Alex still couldn't relax and asked, "Which island am i on?"

Chiron looked at him strangely, "We are not on an island. We are in New York."

Alex stared at him confused.

"America?" asked the girl taking a step towards him. Alex shook his head. She then began to name different names which Alex shook his head.

She looked dumbfounded and waited for anyone else to speak.

"Well, why don't you stay with us. We have a camp full of people with special abilities." Chiron kept on ranting on and on about where they were and how they did this and that.

Percy and Annabeth were show him around the camp for Chiron needed to do a few things.

Alex followed them out and listened as they explained all the cabins were for and what time this and that happened. They could pretty much do anything, as long as they stayed in a invisible barrier which protected them from monsters.

While walking around Alex received many stares but ignored all of them for he was used to them. While they explained Alex was told that they were going to do a capture the flag thing which they do every month.

They were to fight and get the enemy's team's flag and bring it back. They were able to do anything as long as they did not kill anybody.

Alex was then brought to a cabin and was given a spot in the floor which where he was gonna sleep. Alex didn't mind but he rather prefer sleeping outside then sleeping in the crowded place.

Alex was given a few clothing and was told that he was able to keep wearing what he was wearing or to just wear the clothes that they offered him.

Alex took the clothes but kept his clothes on for he prefered them over a orange shirt and some blue jeans.

Alex was asked to join Annabeth's team which had half of the cabins. She told him that his wings could really be useful for their victory.

Alex just shrugged and she smiled. She began to murmur to herself and make some plans.

The three separated and Alex stood their not knowing to do. Just then a girl who looked very muscular pushed him forward. The girl and a group of her friends laughed at him.

Alex watch them laugh and asked, "What's so funny?"

She stopped laughing and so did the others. She walked over to him and was going to grab the collar of his shirt but Alex took a step back. Her eyes narrowed and she tried to punch him but Alex just ducked.

He yawned and said, "What are you trying to even do?"

She blushed red and ordered the others to help her beat him up. Alex sighed and saw that they were part of a cabin which was owned by a god named Areas, the God of War.

Alex kept dodging and weaving as they tried to punch him.

"Hit me you punk." said a guy. Alex doged another punch and narrowed his eyes. He punched the guy in the stomach and sent him flying a few feet away. He then grabbed another guys fist and quickly moved behind his back, cracking noises were heard but before he broke his arm, Alex knocked him down, and put his knee out hitting the guy in the head knocking him out.

Alex then turned quickly sent a punch to a girls fist who tried to punch him. Alex felt all the bones in her body crack, she fell to the ground screaming.

Alex not realizing that people seemed to have made a circle around them. Alex the ducked from a punch and hit the back of the head of the person knocking them out.

Alex kept on doing this making them all unconscious. Alex sighed and walked away as people began to treat them.

Alex walked to the forest and once pretty deep in. Their he saw a young girl making some food. Alex watched as she would make food appear and disappear.

She turned towards him and smiled, waving him over. Alex stood frozen but then walked over, sitting across from her. He watched as her hand moved from one spot to another. Food would appear some would disappear.

Alex thought for a minute and asked, "You're a goddess arent you?"

The girl looked up and smiled and nodded. She moved a hand and steak on a plate appeared out of nowhere. She gave it to him and watched as Alex held it.

Alex thought for a moment and gave it to her saying, "I think it would be better for you to have it."

She smiled and said, "It's ok. I was just wondering which god is your parent."

Her hand went to her side and a flame appeared out of nowhere. Alex remembering what happened asked, "Magic?"

She shook her head saying, "No, this is one of my powers."

Alex watched as she made a small campfire. Alex seemed to be really calm out of nowhere and upan releasing this said, "Was that your one of your powers to?"

The girl smiled and said, "Well yes. You are quite the observer."

Alex thanked her and asked on how he should eat his food.

She looked at him strangely and asked, "Do you mean like giving a grace to the gods?" Alex nodded and she continued, "You would toss a part of your food in the fire and think of anybody you think of."

Alex nodded slowly and put the whole steak in the fire and thought of everyone he knew such as the girl and Sky. Alex looked at the young girl and she had a warm smile on her face.

"Thank you for everything. I think i must be going. If you don't mind me asking, what's your name?" Alex asked getting up.

"Hestia." she said "You didn't eat anything."

"Its fine. I'm not feeling really hungry right now. Hope we can meet each other again." Alex said bowing down to her.

She nodded and said, "Don't bow. It makes me feel old."

Alex apologized and waved at her as he walked away. When Alex walked away, she wanted to make him her champion. Percy was a good choice but he was really popular. Hestia wanted someone new and nice. While Alex was giving the meat to the fire, she searched his memory. She knew that it was bad to do it but she did it.

She was pretty skilled at this and did it being unnoticed by Alex. She saw the small dark spot in his mind but stayed away from it. She racked his mind noticing all the good things he went through and all the heartbroken moments. Seeing all of this, she felt pity for him. He lost almost everyone his lost and his in a new world with new things.

Hestia thought of it for a while and agreed to herself that she would have Alex as her champion.

Later that day Alex was sitting on the trunk of the tree and patted his clothes for he climbed the lava tower. As Alex patted his pants, his hands shot into flames. Alex was startled by it and started to pat it on the ground. But it didn't disappear.

Alex got up and started to shake his hand but it didn't work. Alex ran to the lake and fell to his knees and hurriedly put his arm into the water.
