Fourteen

Hiccups POV

I blink a few time and adjust my eyes to the light. I go to move but stop once I realize a weight in my lap.

I look down and see a sleeping blonde on my lap. Astrid's head rests against my chests and she clings to my shirt. I feel my face start to get red.

Holy shit! Astrid is asleep on my lap!

I try and think of a way to wake her up but can't think of one that wouldn't get me a punch to the face.

She stirs a bit and snuggles her face into my chest making her way up to my collar bone. I can't help but feel a little squeamish. Her hair tickles my neck as she moves it.

I shiver causing her to shake. She stirs some more and seems to be waking up.

No! Don't wake up now!

I do the only thing I could think of to keep her from waking up. It always worked one me when I was a kid. My dad would do it when I was being fussy to help me sleep.

I wrap my arms around Astrid and start rubbing her back. She sighs and stops stirring.

I sigh in relief. Thank god she didn't wake up.

I honestly really wanted to stay in this position for days. With Astrid sleeping peacefully in my lap. She was so cute and calm when she was asleep. Well everyone is calm when they sleep their body is relaxed.

There was something about Astrid that drove me mad. I just wanted to hold her and never let her go. But I mean everyone feels that when they like someone..... right?

"Hic...."

I frown realizing she woke up. I look down thinking she was talking to me..... but she was still past out.

Is she talking in her sleep?  To me? Right now?

"Ur cue........" she muttered.

I feel a burn on my face.

Is she calling me cute or an I imagining things?

Then the thought hit me.

Does Astrid like me?!

I shake the thought away, there is no way. She's an angel and well I'm a regular guy. Nothing special about me.

Astrid's POV

I hear people around me and start to stir.

Why is the chair breathing, and why is it warm?

After a moment I start to remember.

Hiccup fell asleep, and when I tried to wake him up he pulled me onto his lap. Then he said my name in his sleep then I fell asleep.

And I um have no idea what to do. Hiccup seems to be completely fine with it too. I don't want to move out of this position because well this will probably never happen again let's be honest.

Do I just roll off of his lap and make a run for it to never look back? No that would be really awkward to see him in the halls.

I could just wake up and confess my feeling too and hope he feels the same...... good joke Astrid what a comedian.

Or we could just wake up tell him that he did this to us and then maybe possibly ask him why he said my name in his sleep..... yeah I don't like that one but it's the best one out of the three so.

I turn my head to look up at Hiccup. I feel the smallest blush creep across my face when I make eye contact with him.

He was already staring at me.

"Morning," He said with a shy grin.

Fuck you for being so cute

"It's actually night time but good try," I reply.

He squints at me," you're a smart ass first thing aren't you?"

I smile at his comment," only for you babe."

His eyes get really big.

It takes me a second to realize why and then mine get big. His face turns red and I can feel line turn red.

"I-I didn't mean it like that I meant it as a heat of the moment joke kind of thing!" I squeal hiding my face.

"N-no I get it," he said looking away.

I then realize that I'm still on his lap and fall to the ground to get up.(doing quite the opposite)

"Are you ok?" Hiccup asks crouching down next to me.

"Y-yeah," I say as he checks me over.

"Positive?"He asked looking me in the eyes.

"Yes Hiccup I'm fine," I say assuring him.

When quite honestly my ass hurts.

He stands up and then turns to help me up. I take his hand and he pulls me up.

"Everyone is probably waiting for us," Hiccup said checking his phone.

Hiccups POV

I pull my phone out and see a few messages from Ruffnut. I open them and realize they are all pictures...... all pictures of Astrid and I sleeping together on the chair.

We look like an actual couple.

I feel the blush coming back for the 700th time today.

"What's with the face?" Astrid asks looking at me with an arched brow.

I scroll down the her last text.

When you two are done with your PDA were in the food court and we're ready to leave.

I lock my phone and put it in my pocket,"What?"

"Are you- never mind," Astrid says waving it off.

"Oh, ok. Ruff said they are waiting for us in the food court."

"Alright better start going then." She says walking towards the food court.

I follow after her.

"Hey thanks for um... helping me shop today, that was really nice of you," she said.

I shrugged my shoulders," no problem, I had fun."

"I-I mean helping you not looking at you in a swimming suit. I mean- it's not that I find you unattractive I think you have a really nice body. " I put a hand over my face as I keep messing up.

She giggles.

"I should just stop talking."
