Twenty-two

Astrid's POV

Hiccup slides the strap on my swim suit to the side and kisses beneath it. I shove him back and roll him over, I crawl onto his lap and straddle him. I kiss him deeply turning my head to the side. I squeeze his waist with my legs," mhm."
I stop.
I stare into his eyes," did I just get you to?"

He blinks a few time," no."

I smile," I think I did. Admit it or I'll stop."

He thinks for a moment," nope."

I shrug my shoulders and get up off his lap and go into the bathroom. I leave him there in a daze and close the bathroom door.

I look at myself in the mirror.

I forgot I was still in my swim suit...

I think to myself while staring into my reflection.
If I wouldn't have stoped would we have.....?

I shook my head. No. I'm not ready for that yet. I know half of the kids in my grade are having sex but that doesn't mean I want to. Gosh Astrid we just started dating today and I'm already thinking about having sex?

I stopped my train of thought.... but... we aren't dating...

I frown, he said he wanted to ask me the right way... but what if that was just a cover up to say that he doesn't wanna date me but he just wants a body?

No Hiccup wouldn't do that to me, he's to kind to do that. Or he's faking it and he's really an awful person...

I sigh in the mirror, I start stripping down and start to put on my more comfortable clothes. So a t shirt and soft navy colored shorts. I put my hair in a bun and wash my face. I pat my face dry and open the bathroom door. Hiccup is laying under the covers all bundled up when I step out.

I smile to myself he's so cute.

I slowly crawl into bed with him and he wraps his arm around me. He pushes me onto my back and lays on top of me. He buries his face into the nape of my neck and goes quiet.

"Hiccup?" I ask in a whisper.

He doesn't respond.

"Hiccup?" I ask again.

Still no answer... he's asleep, he fell asleep that fast what the hell. I sighed and let him sleep.
I played on my phone for a bit but found myself dozing off. While I was dozing my phone slipped out of my hands and hit me in the face then slid onto Hiccups head. I go to grab it and put it next to me on the bed.

I let myself doze off into a sleep after a while.

Time skip.

Jacks POV

I unlock the front door and step inside. I close the door behind me and take my shoes off. I walk into the kitchen to eat a snack and drop my swim bag in the floor.

"Astrid I'm home," I shout making myself a sandwich. After she doesn't respond I yell again,"Astrid! I'm home!"

Still no response.

That's odd, her trucks out front and her shoes are here. Maybe she is asleep, I'll let her sleep for a bit.

I finish making my sandwich and start watching some TV in the living room. After I finish my sandwich I lay down and suddenly feel drained from practice. I close my eyes and doze off.

Time skip like an hour and a half( yeah I know I'm doing a lot of time skips this chapter but do I care? No.)

I jolt up from the couch as my phone goes off. I rub my eyes and grab my phone from the coffee table. I look at he screen to see my dad calling," hello?"

"Jack? Hey I'll be home in a little bit to make dinner can you set out some chicken for me?"

"Uh yeah," I say getting up and going o the kitchen," how many pieces?"

"Just do 4 in case someone wants 2 pieces of chicken,"he says.

"Alright dad, is that all you needed?" I ask.

"Uh yeah that's all, see you in a bit," he says before hanging up.

"See ya in a few," I say hanging up and setting the chicken out.

I look at the time on my phone 18:04(6:04).well I better go wake up Astrid so she can eat dinner when dad gets home.

I make my way down the stairs and to Astrid's door. I knock at first," Astrid?" After she doesn't respond I open the door and look for her asleep in her bed.

My jaw drops, to not only find her in bed but with our neighbors kid. I smile at my opportunity and pull my phone out of my pocket. I take a picture of the two in their state of slumber. I hold back my laughter at the thought of using this against her in the future.

After I take the pictures I need I go upstairs and grab two frying pans from the kitchen then creep back downstairs. I creep back into her room and clear my throat.

I start banging the pans together and they both jolt up.

The neighbor kid wipes the drool from his mouth and stares at me.

Astrid gets really red and I can't tell if it was because she is embarrassed or angry with me.

"Good morning love birds!" I shout putting the pans down."how did I manage to walk into the devils den on such a blessed day?"

I put my hands on my hips and smile.

They just stare at me not knowing what to say. I roll my eyes," dads gonna be home in a few minutes maybe even second so I suggest getting out of here before he cuts you into pieces."

The neighbors kid just looks at me. I think he told me his name but I honestly forgot it because I didn't think this blessed moment would happen to me.

"Jack? Astrid? I'm home!"
