True love isn't real, it isn't for me at least. It's a joke something I don't pay attention to anymore. It's nothing. If you love something you can't just throw it away, but I've been thrown away. I'm not shiny new anymore, I'm 18 and hurt. Now I'm useless.

I braided my little sister's hair moving my fingers as fast as I could. I can't be late, and I won't be. I finished wrapping a rubber band around the end then grabbed my bag quickly. "Goodbye Katy." She said.

"Bye Lil. Be good." I smiled then ran out the door with my dad. I rushed to my car and drove off. We had an important meeting today about our new condo. My dad was trying to buy one near the beach for Lilly. She loved the beach. I watched the clock. I pulled up in the parking lot and ran inside. Just on time.

I walked in to see the current property owners. "Good morning. I'm so sorry we were trying to get here early." I said sitting down my blonde hair swinging over my shoulder. My dad sat next to me.

The woman smiled at me. "This meeting is already over." She said. And I froze. "No. It starts at 6, it's 5:59." I said. The woman smiled. "You've got the place end of story." Her husband said in a harsh tone. I ignored it, "Thank you so much!" I said excited. The condo cost $850,000 but I knew it would be worth it, to my dad. My dad looked at me "We got it!" He exclaimed in joy.

I shook both of their hands and was out the door. I smiled widely as I read the paper they gave us. I knew it wouldn't be for another week till we got to move. I can't believe it was that easy. I walked to my car and pulled out.

It was a 10 minute drive to and from the meeting. My dad talked the whole time too.

I pulled into our driveway. The condo had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen, and a balcony with a gorgeous view.

We lived in Sydney, Australia. The condo was near Bondi Beach. I had never been to it before but I bet it's great. We have lived here for six years, my mom died three years ago. My dad knew everything would be different now. It was harder. We started looking for a new house two months ago, but then we found the condo. We found that three weeks ago.

My dad wanted to move out of he house we live in now because he says it brings back to many memories. Why wouldn't he want to remember those memories? They are good ones. The house we lives in now had a pool, four bedrooms, three an a half bathrooms, threw stories, a large garden, a big driveway in he front, and all the other things like a kitchen. It was worth $1.4 million. Aka $1,400,000.

I loved this house and I didn't want to move. I acted like I did so my dad wouldn't be so depressed and feel like he is forcing me to do this. I was buying my own place soon. As a matter of fact I told my dad I would stay in this house and pay him, do that I could still live here. It was my home.

It would be two weeks until I could actually officially own the house. So I'd live with my dad for a week, or i'll stay at a hotel.

When my mom died she put every penny she had into my bank account. My mom was a rich woman, so right now $678,000,000 was in my bank account. $678 million. It's a lot, I know that.

My mom had her own TV show for 15 years and only spent 1/4 out of all that money. That was before I was born though. Then she was a model for 5 years. After that she was in 6 movies in three years. You get the point. But she gave it all up when I was born. She had be when she was 30 years old, she had my sister when she was 44 years old. So she was almost half way through life when she had her.

But my mom's mom had five kids, and her youngest one she had at 49 years old.

I ran my fingers through my hair as I pulled out my phone. I had a text message from my best friend, Alex. I opened it up, 'Miss youuuuu! xoxoxo'. I smiled and texted the same thing back to her. She was in London for an educational trip.

I went outside as I heard my phone ring. I looked at the screen and it read Ms. Elgort. I answered it. Ms, Elgort was a woman my mom worked with. I never really knew her well, until my mom died. She gave me my first job as a model for her company. "Hello?" I heard her voice say.

"Morning Mellisa." I said smiling.

"Would you mind helping my son out tonight? He is sick and I have a meeting from 7:00Pm to 10:00PM." She said curiously. "Sure." I said. I never met her son, but everybody tells me he is a nice guy."Thank you so much Katy! Bye, bye now." Mellisa said.

I said goody bye and then hung up. I wonder why her son needed help since he's sick, I thought he was nine-teen. Oh well. I'll do anything for Mellisa, I owe her. I walked to the neighbors to our left. I knocked on the door. My best friend Alice opened the door. "Hi!" She said full of enthusiasm and gave me a hug. I hugged back. She was moving back to America soon, and I knew I would miss her.

We have known each other for six years, ever since we first moved here. She was my first friend here in Australia. I was twelve and could really have used some friends then. Alice was one of them. She handed me the card, I couldn't stay and talk to her today because she had to pack today and her parents weren't allowing anyone over.

I said bye and walked down the steps from her house then back to mine. I walked in and Lilly was dancing in the living room as Ariana Grande's song Break Free played. I laughed as she tried to do a kart wheel. Lilly didn't like cheer leading but she loved dancing. I on the other hand was a cheerleader for eleven years.

She smiled at me, I gave the card to my dad. He smiled. It was a card for his birthday, which was last week. At least she bought him a card.

I smiled back then checked the time is was 1:00 PM already. So I headed to the mall and went shopping. Usually I went with Alex and Alice. They are cousins. I went to this shoes place first and bought a black pair of boots. Then a neon peach pair of VANS and black ones too. I ended up buy a jean jacket and red dress.

I was shopping for about three hours. But, that's all I actually bought, oh and I bought two new bikinis. One strapless the other had straps.

It was 4:15PM now.

I drove home and put all of my new stuff away. Then I reorganized my room. My queen size bed in the middle with white bedside tables on the sides. My bed sheets were white with this black pattern on it. I liked it. Then I vacuumed. I hanged into my bathing suit and Lilly, my cousin Mason, and me went swimming out back.

I got out and finished getting dressed at 6:35PM so I headed over to Mellisa's. It was a twenty minute drive.

I pulled up and she was sitting on the white bench hanging from the roof of her porch swinging on it. "Oh good you're here!" She exclaimed with joy, jumping of f the bench then coming to give me a hug. I hugged her. "I've gotta run. He is sitting on the couch." She said waving bye. "Bye!" I called out as I walked up her porch and inside.
