Ansel's POV
I sighed as I sat in the chair next to Katy's hospital bed. She was still out. Apparently the water she drank earlier had some type of pill in it that made her hallucinate. She was seeing things that weren't real. The question that I was trying to find the answer to is, who did it?
It wasn't me and she wouldn't do it. The only people that were at our house was Jess and Mason. I don't get it. Neither one of them would do that. Mason is Katy's cousin and Jess is her best friend. Mason paced around the room. He was texting and calling Jess repeatedly. She hadn't answered ounce yet. "Where the hell is she?!" He yelled, but not loud enough to get others' attention.
"She wouldn't do it. She didn't do it." I said standing up and looking up at him. She shook his head. "You don't get it." He said in an angry whisper. "She is going crazy. She's off her rockers."
I looked at him confused. "She brought home a squirrel and said it was our new dog. Damn it! She bought a gun, illegally. She fucking slept with my brother, man!" He said and I could now see the pain in his eyes. "She slept with my brother..." He said again but in a whisper and it was much more slow.
"Holly shit, Mason why didn't you tell us?" I said walking over to him.
"I was scared, but it's so hard to put up with this when you're married. I thought she would get better, that maybe it was just a small thing.. But no, it got worse. She got worse. And the baby, it's not mine." The last part of what he said, his voice got rough while saying it. "She gave Katy the pill. Jess gave Katy the pill. She put it in her water, she had to do it." He said.
"Mason we have to get her help." I said as he sat down in the chair I was ounce sitting in. "She needs it. And I'm sorry man, but you.." I stopped and he put his hand up. "I know. I can't be with her anymore. Not like this. She is having my brother's baby.." Now the pain and hurt in his eyes completely showed as a few tears ran down his face.
"She did all of that?" I turned around quickly to see Katy's eyes open as she sat up. "Mason." She said. "Why didn't you tell me?"
I ran over beside Katy. She grabbed my hand and held it tightly, I did so back. Mason nodded as she went to the other side of her. "I'm glad you're ok." He said. "And I'm sorry but I've got to go."
"Mason.. don't." She said leaning forward. He shook his head and walked right out of the room. I looked at her. She now had tears in her eyes. "Why-" She stopped and I knew she couldn't continue. I wrapped my arm around her as I climbed onto the bed with her and held her close. I kissed the top of her head. "We will figure this out." I said.
Mason's POV
I walked into my house to see Jess sitting on the kitchen table. "Did you know, I fucking love sex." She said, but I knew it wasn't a question by the way she said it. "How comes you never gave me that?" She asked and this time she was asking a question as she sat up. "You're high." I said ignoring her.
"No, I'm just really fucked up." She said then I realized what was happening. I stopped and turned my head slowly to see her pointing the gun at me. "Jess.. remember. You love me. You always have, and you would never forgive yourself for killing me, or taking a life at all." I said.
"That's a lie. I got an abortion today." She said and smirked. "You're sick. Let me help." I said stepping closer to her. She shook her head and laughed. As she rubbed her ounce skinny again stomach.
Then she slid off the table. "I'm glad you got an abortion today, because that means I can do this." I said then I ran towards her and hit the gun out of her hand. She screamed as I pulled her hands behind her back and pushed her against the wall and did the signal.
Five policemen came running in the house, their guns ready. "I'm sorry Jess. I loved you, but you need help." I said as they put handcuffs on her. I felt the burning in my eyes. But I reacted quickly as she elbowed the cop holding her then kicked another in the face, I forgot how she went to boot camp for this shit, and boxing.
She pulled her hands into the front and ran at me. She slammed a beer bottle onto my head causing it's pieces to fly everywhere. It only hurt a little. And then two of the cops grabbed her and yanked her back. What the hell happened to Jess? Or is it, who the hell happened to Jess? AKA who made her like this?
Katy's POV
I was at home again. And there were no more hallucinations. I can't believe what's happening. Everything is falling apart. I don't know how it could get any worse. It's like I'm being sent through hell and I don't know why. The whole entire world is turning against us. And I don't appreciate it. What the hell did I ever do? Everybody makes mistakes.
My best friend went crazy, then she drugged me, Alex is in a wheelchair for the rest of her life, Ansel was shot on our wedding day, our wedding was awful, I had a miscarriage with my first child, Mason was cheated on, Ansel's ex-girlfriend was a psychotic bitch, and ect.
I can't believe this. It's all happening so fast. Everything is going down hill way to quick.
I just want to go back in time and make sure all of what has happened, doesn't happen.
Then maybe it wouldn't hurt so much. The pain and sadness, it wouldn't be there anymore. Or at least shouldn't.
