Katy's POV

It's been a week since Ansel and I started dating, and we have been one three dates so far. The first one he took me to a movie, he second to a restaurant, and the third to a museum. We had another one tonight. This one he was taking me on a walk on the beach. He knew how much I loved doing that.

It was nine in the morning. I got up and got ready for the day.

OOTD:

White jean shorts, black crop top that said "HELLO"in white print, and black vans

It was the end of summer. I was buying my own condo near the beach. I loved it. It was close to Ansel's condo too. Which made it even better. I plugged in my head phone and put on mine and Ansel's song. It was With Love, by Christina Grimmie. I tied my shoes and headed down the steps. My phone buzzed, From Jess: 'I'll be there in 5'. I got a new phone so I'm kind of not used to it yet.

I ate waffles for breakfast. Then by the time I finished Jess was walking in through the front door. She smiled widely when she saw me, I smiled back. "You sleep with him yet?" She asked. I threw part of my waffle at her and we both laughed. She sat down on the chair next to me. "If you don't I will." She said and laughed. I glared at her and we both laughed again.

"Hey little cuz. Still dating my closest friend?" He said, picking on me. "As a matter of fact I am." I said and he chuckled. He poured some black coffee into a mug and drank it quickly. "Reminder, you dated Jess for three years." I said taking his mug from him and washing it. I knew he still liked her. He just didn't have the guts to admit it.

I was surprised about how long they dated. Hey, opposites attract... I guess? They broke up last year because Jess thought he was cheating on her, but he wasn't. I tried to explain it to her, but she didn't listen.

I wish she would have. Mason hasn't dated anyone since then. He was in love with her. He was actually going to propose to her the night she dumped him. She thought he was hooking up with his ex and he wasn't, he would have never hurt her. I was pretty pissed when she didn't believe me but I got over it. Mason didn't.

I frowned remembering the huge fight Jess and I got into.

Yea it went that far.

The room went silent, and I felt the guilt in my gut. I turned around and they were both just staring off. Jess was watching her hands as she played with her fingers whil Mason stared at the mug I just washed. He grabbed it from the drying rack, "I'm gonna need another up of this" he said.

"Sorry." I said.

"For what?" they both said at the same time. Damn it you two, always saying words at the same time. This just made it even worse. Mason walked into the living room. I felt awful, I should have never brought up their relationship. I walked over to Jess and puck up my phone and texted her, even though she was sitting right there. Me- 'He loves you...' She read the message then looked up at me.

I shrugged my shoulders. "He will never get over it. Jess... He really id love you, and you kinda, sorta, broke his heart." I said trying not to make her feel bad. "I would have known if he cheated on you, and I would have told you if he did."

She smiled at me. "Thanks.. But I'm with Eddie now." She said. "And I'm not going to hurt him too."

She was right. Eddie loved her too. I think. He cheated on her before, did I tell her. I can't bring it up now. "About Eddie.." I started but then there was a knock on the door. I ran over to answer it and there he was, Ansel. I stood on my tippy toes and gave him a peck on the lips and he smiled.

Ten I looked over, Jess was in the living room, talking to Mason. "We should let them be." Ansel said and I nodded. We went outside and he smiled as we held hands walking to his car. I told him I would spend the day with him until five, then we could both go home and hve two hours before our date. Then he spun me around. "Whoa!" I yelled as he puck me up and carried me to the backyard. He laid me down on a picnic blanket. I sat up. "How-" I started but he answered my question for me.

I sat it up right when i got here." He said.

I smiled. We ate sandwhiches and I laughed as I fed him strawberries. "What's this all about. I thought we were having a picnic on the beach later.?" I asked curiously, then I popped a grape into my mouth.

"I forgot. I'm so sorry. I have school tonight. I hope this makes up for it?" He said and I nodded and smiled. I forgot about his school. He goes to this camp were he goes to this school were he learns about different medicines annd stuff. He told me he wants to be a doctor in the future.

"I get my condo in a week." I said popping another strawberry into his mouth and he smiled. "I know."

We finished our picnic and then went swimming in my poool. He being himself, kissed me under water. He was so romantic. But we were more than boyfriend and girlfriend, we were best friends too. We swam for about an hour and then headed up to my roo. He plopped downon my bed in a pair of his jeanns and nothing else on. I laid down next to him, unlike him, I had a crop top and jean shorts on.

He kissed me as he wrapped his arms around my hips. I straddled him and put my fingers in his hair. He bit my lip an I whined. He always did that because it meant he was going to do something else to surprise me. He flipped me over so he was on top. I laughed as he smiled against my lips. Then he pulled away from me but made sure our foreheads and noses still touched. We breathed heavily on each other.

"Can you two not make out with the door open?" I heard Mason say. I sat up and Ansel looked behind him and we saw my cousin standing outside my bedroom door. Ansel chuckled, "No problem." That's the second time we have done that. "Poor Mason." I said and we both laughed. Ansel climbed off of me and we just laid there side by side watching each other.

"You're so beautiful." He said.

I smiled. He rubbed his hand against my cheek.

"I'm the luckiest girl on the planet." I said to him.

Then we both just laid there.

Eyes to eyes.
