Derek and I picked up Scott from the school because Derek wanted to show us something to do with Isaac. I didn't know what it was but if I had known we'd be taking a detour, I probably wouldn't have gone.
But we were on the other side of town by the time the sun set in the sky and inside of the teenagers house.
Scott walked inside first, holding a flashlight, and then I followed him. The entire house felt eery in the dark. We couldn't turn lights on because it was supposed to be locked up, but that was what the flashlight was for.
I shivered and wrapped my arms around myself, not because I was cold, but because I could feel the anger and the fear in the house.
"If Isaac didn't kill his father, who did?" Scott asked Derek.
"I don't know yet," Derek answered him.
"Then how do you know he's telling the truth?"
"Because I trust my senses," Derek explained. "And it's a combination of them. Not just your sense of smell."
I could sense the embarrassment coming from Scott and turned my head to look at the teenager curiously. What could he possibly be embarrassed about?
"You...saw the lacrosse thing today," Scott muttered.
"Yeah."
Scott huffed. "Did it look that bad?"
Derek slid his hand around Scott's shoulders. "Yeah."
"Wait, what lacrosse thing?" I questioned, coming to Scott's side while Derek walked off.
Derek turned around and looked at Scott. "You wanna tell her? Or should I?"
Scott groaned and tossed his head back, while I just looked between the two of them curiously. "What did you do?" I asked Scott.
"I knew there was another werewolf in the locker room, but I couldn't tell which one," Scott started to explain.
"He ran at every player on the field trying to sniff out which one was the werewolf," Derek finished.
I couldn't help but laugh at the young wolf, making him groan even more. I put my arm around his shoulders, still giggling.
"Oh, Scott, sweety, no."
I ruffled my hand through his brown hair, the giggles not stopping. "Did Stiles come up with that plan?"
Scott looked at me with wide eyes. "How did you know?"
I just cackled some more. "My baby brother has the most ludicrous ideas," I laughed.
We followed Derek through the house again, my giggling finally coming to an end. As he came up on a door and opened it, he stuck his arm out in front of me as he turned to Scott.
