drown the demons

Inspired by a friend
-----------------------------------

The side ways glances
And all the whispers

You try to fly, your fingers reached for someone
Someone to help, someone to heal

The demons that have consumed you
That have blinded your third eye

So you sit, slumped against a wall
A golden liquid, in a glass bottle

The faint screams that still try to reach you
From the people who care

But it to much, far to late
The demons have danced in your mind
Forever embedded in your gaze

Golden liquid, clear liquid,
Glass shattered

You thought it would help

You drowned your demons
But in the process, you drowned your self.

Pathetic, you drowned your demons

But your demons learned how to swim.
