Sasuke's POV

Tch, I could have totally handled that, Kakashi was such a show off. Why did Yuyan even protect me?! I could have done it on my own, I'm not weak. Naruto just stabbed himself like an idiot trying to release the poison from his blood.

"You guys are forgetting something important," Yuyan said with a hint of annoyance in her voice, "I'm a trained medical ninja, I could have extracted the poison and healed the wound." Hn, didn't know she was a trained medical ninja. Now I had to protect her double time.

We waited as she healed Naruto's wound, Yuyan seemed to be scolding Naruto, but he was just blushing and rubbing his head like an idiot. What they were talking about? Wait don't tell me...did Naruto like Yuyan?

....no way.

Nope, I did not approve of this, Yuyan would NOT be with Naruto. After she was done healing Naruto, they both caught up with the group, but she was holding his hand. Maybe it was a nice gesture, yeah... that sounds about right. We went on with the mission, Sakura was being annoying and scolding Naruto, Kakashi and that bridge builder were ahead talking and Yuyan was cheerfully walking in front of me.

I looked at Yuyan's back, she seemed like what had happened didn't affect her, at least there was someone in this group who wasn't useless. But then again, I wouldn't let her do all the fighting, she'd get hurt that way.

I caught up to her and grabbed her by the wrist, "What the heck was that?" I whipsered to her.

"What are you talking about? I just healed Naruto's-" she clearly didn't know what I meant.

"That's not what I'm talking about. Why did you protect me, I had things under control."

"I didn't want you to get hurt," she gave me a warm smile. Those smiles always made me feel a pang in my heart, I wasn't sure why, and it made me a bit angry.

"I don't need to be protected, you could have gotten hurt or even died!"

"I wasn't going to just sit by and watch you get hurt of die, you promised to protect me and I intend to protect you too."

I let go of her wrist, "you're not suppose to protect me that's not the deal, I'm suppose to be the one protecting you." I don't know what she didn't understand about this really.

"Thanks Sasuke," she gave me an even bigger smile and I strangely found myself blushing. I turned away so she wouldn't look, "no problem."

Timeskip- the boat or something

"Woah!! It's so big!" Naruto shouted like an idiot. The fairy guy told him to shut up thankfully. Everyone on the boat was talking about the mission, how it isn't actually a C-ranked mission, more like and B or even A rank mission, but that just made it exciting.

I wasn't paying attention much to the details. I kinda just kept on thinking about what Yuyan said, knowing her, she'd still try and protect me or she'd get hurt protecting Naruto or Sakura.

We had finally reached a landing point and got off the boat. As we continued walking, things stayed pretty normal. Sakura was obsessing over me, very annoying, Yuyan was talking to Kakashi-sensei and the bridge builder. I walked faster to catch up to Naruto, at least he's better than Sakura.

He glanced at me and ran ahead. Knowing him, he's gonna try to act cool to make up for what had just happened. Still the same as always.

"Over there!!" He mindlessly threw a shuriken.

"...."

"Just a rat," I rolled my eyes at him and Sakura yelled at him as usual. It's just like him to waste all the weapons he had, what an idiot.
