Yuyan's POV

"Huh, Kakashi, it's rare to see you here first," Sasuke curtly pointed out.

"I do it from time to time," Kakashi blankly stated. I felt something strange coming from the dango shop, but there appeared to be nothing there. Everyone seemed to be looking inside the dango shop, also suspicious of something.

Maybe it was just my imagination?

"I hate sweets," Sasuke spat out.

"Ah, is that so?" Kakashi seemed to be sort of on edge about something, it was confusing me a bit, but I knew something was up. Suddenly, Kurenai-sensei and Asuma-sensei quickly jumped away.

Yep, something was definitely up.

"U-umm sensei? Is there something wrong?" I asked. He looked at me for a while as if lost in thought, but just gave me his normal closed eye smile. "No Yuyan, everything is just perfect."

That wasn't very convincing.

After that, Kakashi also nervously and swiftly ran away. "That was awfully strange and useless," Sasuke broke me out of my thoughts, "sorry, but I think I'm gonna have to cut our date short, there's something I wanna see."

I looked at him sort of disappointed, "that's a shame." He chuckled a little and poked my forehead just like my brother use to and Itachi did to him, it was quite nostalgic and sad really, "sorry, maybe next time." I put one hand on my forehead and looked at him with eyes wide and was surprised to see that he was actually smiling at me.

"U-umm.."

"See ya later," I just stared at his back as he casually walked away, waving goodbye with one arm and another in his pocket. I sort of smiled and blushed at what he did and tried to engrave that smile he gave me in my mind.

Coming back to the real plot of things, I wanted to check out what was making everyone so apprehensive earlier, so I just followed Kakashi's chakra signature. Something was unusual though, I also sense Kurenai-sensei and Asuma-sensei, but there were two other people with a very impressive quality and amount of chakra. Especially one of them who almost had about as much chakra as Naruto.

Yes, that was a lot.

I ran faster and faster the more I realized I was getting quite anxious to see what was going on. Kakashi's chakra depleted drastically in just a couple seconds making me even more worried than I was before. I picked up the pace and ran as fast as I could. It seemed to take forever until I finally reached  them.

However...there he was.

Him.

Itachi's POV

"I-I-Itachi?" a soft and kind voice stuttered behind me. After all these years, this was then first time someone didn't spit out my name as if I was the scum of this earth. But then again, I really am scum. It had a beautiful ring to it, almost like the way my mother would say my name.

I turned around to see who this voice belonged to, and literally could have died right then and there when I saw her. Out of all the people I wanted to run into, I didn't want to see her, everyday I thought about her and Sasuke and my previous teammates. They all probably hated me more than anything.

"Another brat?" Kisame said both amused and annoyed. I didn't answer the question. Seeing her face replayed the memories of that day all over again. But, she had grown so much, after five years she looked stronger and much more confident and had almost completely evolved from the shy little Yuyan I met, yet still appeared to remain the same kind and gentle girl I knew.
