Sasuke's POV

"We should head back."

"Yeah!!"

Dobe Naruto used up so much chakra he couldn't even move anymore, so I  had to carry him back to the house. After days of training, him and I had both reached the very top, the scenery from up there was great. I'm sure Yuyan would've liked it up here, but she compliantly rested like I told her to, she's doing fine now.

It was dark out, most likely everyone is already eating their dinner right now. I slid open the door and struggled a little to get Naruto and me inside. "We made it to the top," he panted, "both of us." I couldn't help but smirk at our accomplishment, we had both improved.

I looked at Yuyan, she had the greatest smile I had ever seen on her, ever. She laughed and everyone looked at her enjoying her little random spout of happiness.

That is...everyone except Sakura, she just scowled at her.

"Good job! Naruto, Sasuke, tomorrow we'll be guarding Tazuna at the bridge, so be ready for tomorrow morning."

"I'll be there too," gosh her smile today was killing me. She hadn't seen this happy in the time she's come back. Of course she always was happy, but there was just something heartwarming about her happiness today. It seemed to emit some kind of warmth.

I liked it.

"Aaaaah! I'm beat! Sasuke take me to a chair!" instead I dropped the dobe on the floor. What do I look like? His slave? A donkey? I'm Sasuke Uchiha. "Teme!"

"I'm not your dog," I looked back at Yuyan, she had an eyebrow raised and a scary look on her face, the same one my mom would make when I didn't want to clean or something. Very scary, though I was the only one who noticed that her once happy self was now giving off a menacing aura towards me.

But I liked even that part of her, she reminded me if my mother, kind and gentle, yet fierce and stern.

"Ugh, alright." I put his arm around my shoulder and helped support his weight.

"Ahaha thanks Sasuke-kun."

....did he just...

"I'm going to kill you if you ever say that again."

"Aaah! No sorry! Sorry!" I walked him to a chair next to Kakashi and dumped him there. I took the chair next to Yuyan, she smiled at me, what was with her today? I felt particularly attracted to her today, don't know why.

"Hn."

We sat there quietly for a while until the bridge builder's bratty grandson started crying like a little bitch. Stupid kid.

"Why do you guys try so hard?! No matter how hard you try you won't ever be a match for Gato's men! No matter what claims you make or how much you train the weak will always lose against stronger people!" So we're weak now? Hn, this kid doesn't even know us.

"Whatever kid, I'm not like you," Naruto said unfazed by his tantrum, for once I agreed with him, this kid didn't know who we even were!

"I'd hate to be like you! You don't know anything about this country yet you're being so damn nosy! You don't know anything about me! I'm different from all of you, you're always so cheerful and always clowning around, none of you know how hard life can be!!"

That's where he crossed the line, this kid really didn't know a thing about us, he didn't know how lonely Naruto was, he didn't ever have a family, what did he even know about him?! Yuyan and I lost our entire family and here he has a mother and a grandfather. What a damn brat!
