A Cruel World

Yuyan's POV

"Alright we're off! Please take care of Naruto for us!"

Naruto used up waaaaay too much chakra while training and now he won't even wake up! It's alright though, he tried really hard and I'm proud.

I felt like a total baka today though. I should've told Sasuke I liked him at least just let him know, but I sort of backed out and ended up calling him my best friend. As we walked towards the bridge, I just looked at his back wishing I had said something.

Maybe this is what his fangirls felt like.

"Hey are you sure you're okay for today?" he turned around to ask.

"U-umm yeah, I'll be fine, we're just gonna guard him it's no big de...what the heck?!" I stopped when I saw that there were people on the bridge dead or severely hurt.

There's only one person who would do this.

"Here they come!" Kakashi-sensei yelled, we all circled around Tazuna to protect him. The all too familiar mist started to make it's way around us, there's no doubt it was him.

"It's been a while hasn't it Kakashi? I see you're still hanging around these brats and that one's shaking again." I looked at Sasuke and saw that he was indeed shaking again like he had before.

"I'm shaking of..." he put on one of those smug smirks of his, "excitement."

A bunch of water clones appeared, completely surrounding us. "Do it, Sasuke." In just a blink of an eye, Sasuke took out every single water clone.

He got stronger.

I smiled at that smug look on his face, he knew it too.

Out of the mist, an all too familiar cow loving man and a person around my age wearing a Kirigakure Anbu mask emerged. However, Zabuza didn't seem to be wearing his bovine get up this time.

"Looks like you found a rival eh Haku?" So that's his name.

Everyone started to call the masked boy phony and conceited as if they had actually met him or something? Did I miss out on anything while I was out?

I took our a kunai and stepped forward ready to fight, but I was held back by someone's strong hand on my wrist. "Stay out of this fight I don't want you getting hurt," Sasuke whispered into my ear. His deep and silky voice gave me goosebumps at that moment.

"I'll fight him!" he declared, "tricking us with such a stupid act, tch, I hate bastards like you the most."

"You're so cool Sasuke-kun!♡"

The masked boy started to spin towards Sasuke at an incredle speed. Sasuke looked confused at first, but blocked the boy's attack with his kunai. This kid didn't stand a chance against Sasuke, much less an Uchiha, I knew Sasuke could win this fight!

"So you're still alive huh brat?" I heard Zabuza emerge from behind me. "Guess you decided not to be MooMoochi this time, it truly is udderly disappointing Zabuza," I took out a kunai and stuck it in his neck, too bad it was only a water clone.

"Yuyan! Behind you!" Kakashi-sensei shouted, another Zabuza, this time the real one, swung his sword down but I deflected it with my kunai. Though, it wasn't a very good idea since Zabuza is obviously stronger than me. Taijutsu wouldn't work well for me in this fight, I wasn't as strong or as advanced as Zabuza in it. I could always use ninjutsu.
