Batman sat on the roof top off the old building in utter silence. The dark clouds covered the Gotham night sky, and the sound of his cape flapping in the slight breeze was the only thing that could be heard. It was about three in the morning, and it was time to get to the Batmobile (as Alfred and Lucius Fox had instead been calling it) and drive back to the cave. Standing up the sound of soft footsteps could be heard. The average citizen wouldn't be able to detect it, but nothing got past the Dark Knight.
Well, not usually anyway.
Following the sound of footsteps the vigilante ran across rooftops after the unknown person. He ran for a while in pursuit, but he could not find the unknown subject. Stopping to take a breath Gotham's hero started back to the ally the Batmobile was parked at. When he reached the vehicle side door, a shadow of a person fell across Batman's feet. The playboy millionaire recognized the beautiful silhouette of a woman. Looking up he recognized the the person the shadow belonged to.
"Catwoman."
"Oh please Bruce," said the high tech burglar, "secret identities are a thing of the past. I know that you're Bruce Wayne and you know I'm Selina Kyle. We know each other better than we do ourselves."
"Touché," the Batman smirked. "Now, what are you doing at this time of ni- morning? Something that I should arrest you for?"
"I was just seeing what was with the city of psychos. I've left my life of crime Bruce, well, most of it." She flashed a glamorous smile and took a step closer to the caped crusader.
"I still take things that I shouldn't."
She was about three feet away from him. Her leather suit reflected the light of the fading moon, giving her an angelic glow. But the millionaire knew she was no angel.
"Like what?" Asked Batman, referring to her earlier statement.
Now walking circles around him, Miss Selina Kyle came up on front of him and put up a gloved hand to his cheek, tracing his jawline with a single finger.
"Things that catch my eye," she finished. She was now face to face with the Dark Knight, mere inches from his cowl. Batman was officially overwhelmed by her exquisite beauty.
"I'll see you later Batboy." Came the whispered. She began walking away, and with a last look over her shoulder, and exited the ally.
Isn't she something, he thought.
She's something all right, he told himself. All it took was a look.
All it took was a look.

Wayne Manor, 2 1/2 years later
The bright lights and sound of an orchestra playing seemed to bring the Wayne manor to life tonight. One of the many greater rooms of the house had been cleared for the festivities of a lifetime. People could be heard conversing about how beautiful the bride looked, or that it was about time for Bruce Wayne to settle down. The guests had been at the manor for quite sometime, but the party was hardly over. Couples swept across the dance floor, the orchestra playing a familiar waltz. Bruce Wayne and now Selina Wayne were the center of attention, not noticing all the people staring at them.
Leaning her head on his broad shoulders, Selina whispered into Bruce's tuxedo, "I'm having a wonderful time- Mr. Wayne," she added with a smirk. "But there's something we need to talk about."
Looking down on his bride Bruce saw that she was being serious. Looking around for a place to talk he saw that no one was at the table with punch. How convenient.
