Chapter 12: Who is Rayman?

Before the end of my first class I remember that I have to tell Dean the conversation I had with my Dad.

I have asked Dad about what Angel had suggested me, yung tungkol sa pagiging speaker ko sa Acquaintance Party. Naisip ko din kasi na since last year ko namn itong year ay baka hindi naman na masama na kahit papaano eh maging active ako sa ganitong events.

Dad said that he'll talk to the board first. It will be better to ask others opinion kaya I need to wait and hear their side.

I was expecting that it'll take days because the acquaintance is still in three weeks.

Hindi din nman malaking event iyon para kumita kaya alam ko na hindi niya maxadong papahalagahan. But he called this morning,

'that fast??! Kakatwag ko lang sa knya kahapon ah?"

" Vincent?, " pagsagot niya,,as soon as I receive his call ay una kong nahimigan ang pagod sa boses niya.

I can hear tiredness from his voice. ' wala pa ding nagbago, hindi siya tumitigil kakatrabaho!', It's still 6 am here and maybe around 2pm in there.

"Good morning, Dad!," seryosong pagbati ko. Don't get me wrong but my relationship with him is somewhat FORMAL. Walang sweetness or care na mafefeel kapag nag uusap kami. Siya ang boss at ako ang tauhan niya.

"Good morning to you haha, It's afternoon here and I just came from a meeting,..kababalik ko lang sa office", seryoso iyon kahit mismo ang tunog ng maikling pagtawa niya ay maxadong pormal na parang mga kameeting nya pa din ang kausap.

Madalang lang ang dahilan ng pagtawag ng Dad sa akin, kung hindi para mag utos ay para naman sa isang importanteng bagay na dapat kong gawin at malaman.

I remember when I was younger, I wanted to fly a kite with him, instead... he handed me an airplane with a remote control' so I can fly it myself. 'tch!'

We've never had that father and son bonding..... but he always make sure that I'm well and that my needs are taken care of. THAT'S IT!!

Bumalik ako sa wisyo ng marinig ang pagtikhim niya, "The reason for this call is about what you asked me the other day, I've talked to the board and they think, you being the speaker for the party won't be a problem."

'Okay so I have to prepare my speech...sigh!" sabi ko sa loob ko.

"It won't become a revelation too, not because your the speaker doesn't mean anything right?, he pointed out.

" Of course everybody knows you??? I heard that you are running for Magna???"TAMA BA? hindi pagtatanong iyon kung hindi paniniguro, he wants me to aim that for sure.....HE'S EXPECTING!!"

"Y-yes, Dean told me but there are two more candidates so I am still not sure, Dad" I honestly told him,
