Chapter 8: The Interview

<Vincent's POV>

(RING RING RING RING) alarm clock

I rolled to the right side of my bed to turn off the alarm clock, It says 5am.

'Uhhh its monday, '..I got up and get a bottled water from my mini fridge and drink all of it.

I always get up early to go to my gym adjacent to my bedroom. I make sure to exercise for at least an hour every am often times I run around the village.

'I remember the meeting this 7am, yeah Angel told me about it' may meeting ako with someone na papalit sa pwesto niya today kaya nagmadali akong magprepare after mag gym.

"Manang, I won't eat rice for breakfast..please make me a black coffee and a sandwich nalang" I told the lady of the house through the intercom while checking my bag if I have all the things I needed for today.

"Thanks" as I sip on my coffee while checking my phone for any other schedule, but I saw none so I guess I have time to do my studies for today.

"I have to go, thanks for the coffee" I stand up and get on my way.

"Ay Bincent! Ngtawag pala si Mommy mo kahapon at sabi nya ay uuwi sila two weeks from now, kaya pinapahanda nya ang master's bedroom at three guest rooms sa third floor. Pinapalinis din ang mga sasakyan...." sabi ni manang.

I am suddenly incoherent, Mom would only do that whenever she plans to stay long. Her usual visits take less than three days and she preferred to stay in one of our hotels.

'Why so sudden, and without telling me first?! What's going on...' I need to call her ..

"Ah talaga po?! She didnt tell me anything yet but I will call nalang po si Mom later" alis na ako.

"O siya cge ingat ka, magtawag ka pag magdinner ka dito para magprepare ako" paalala nya pa. Manang is simply a mom plus a grandma in full set, natawa nalang ako when I realize her Visayan accent.

I wave at her behind my back. I get on my car and head to school.

As soon as I park my car, I head on to my office. I saw Angel waiting for me.

"Good morning sir! "

"Hmm morning, so whats my sched for today?.. I saw none sa planner ko pero I just wanna confirm if wla talaga?!"

"Ahm wla nga po because everyones busy with the acquaintance party 3 weeks from now so the board sets another meeting after the party na po"

"The speaker for this year is the VP of the board, unless you want to be the speaker Sir...I think, it will be better anyway graduating po kayo this year para makilala na kayo as the school owner" she says 

"I will think about it and asks my father,anyway what time is she coming? Its almost 7!" I am damn hungry so I want this interview to end fast.I wanna eat my sandwich before going to my class.

"She's on her way Sir, I called her 10 minutes ago before you ca..."she didn't finish what she's saying because we heard a knock.

~KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK~

I motioned Angel that I will go to my office, and let the guest in for the interview. I sits down on my swivel chair and wait for her.

I heard their small talks before I hear foot steps nearing my door...

It opens, and my eyes grew when I saw who it was...

"Y- YOU??!! " malakas na sabi ko habang nakakunot ang noo at napatingin si Angel sa akin.
