"Watch out!"

Before she could react, the Ursa came out of the literal woodworks and charged full speed from behind at Blake.
With nothing to catch herself with, she stumbled backwards and fell down hard.

She winced in pain as her head hit the side of a tree.

Now rearing up to charge again, the Ursa growled as it felt shotgun slugs penetrate its body. "Not today you ugly sonuva-"

GROWLLLL

The Alpha Ursa was somewhere lurking close by.
But they count quite match the sound to the Grimm as it was nowhere in sight.

Blake stood up, rubbing the side of her head.
"You really should have behaved, Blake."

She froze. Her eyes widened to that familiar voice, wondering if she was hearing things.

Maybe she hit her head too hard? He was dead.
He is dead.

"Earth to Blake!"

"Huh?"

"Can you pay attention before you get us both killed please?!"

Yang shot off some more rounds into the beast until its run became a slow drag, and finally it fell into the dirt as it's lifeless body dispersed into a fume of black dust.

"I always hated..those things." Yang said between breaths, more to herself than to Blake.

She whipped her head around to look at Blake, then quickly turned back to check the perimeter. "You need to go before more show up. Unless you have some invisible sword I don't know about..."

She was standing still, her golden eyes glossed over and her ears standing at the top of her head at full attention.

Yang's voice sounded muffled and distorted as it was being overpowered by his voice. It sounded clear as day, like he was standing right beside her.

"Blake..."

She genuinely thought she was going crazy.

"Blake!"

She didn't know what scared her more. The fact that she was hearing a dead man's voice-

"BLAKE!"

-or the fact he still had so much control over her, even after his death. The voice psychically paralyzed her like a haunting echo.

The only thing she did feel, however, was a strong push that almost knocked the wind right out of her lungs.

Blake lifted herself up off of the ground, propping herself up with her hands, hearing nothing but a ringing static-like noise.
She blinked a few times trying to process what was going on.

She saw Sun run towards an Alpha Ursa, staff in hand. With a quick gesture and the flick of his wrist the staff became two flintlock pistols that was shooting every single round it had into the beast.

She felt like she was watching a movie, or having an out-of-body experience. She had no clue what was going on.

The seemed like it ended almost as quick as it started and then everything turned blurry.

She heard a muffled shout, before a blurry figure ran towards another, except this one looked like it was laying on the ground. She tried to use every bit of brain power to figure out what was going on, until a dizzy feeling smacked into her and she blacked out.
