"A Small Favor"

As the food was brought out to them, Yang, who returned to her original spot, couldn't help but watch Blake poke and prod her dinner instead of actually eating it.

In an attempt to break her out of whatever thought process she was in, Yang cleared her throat with a not-so-subtle "ahem".

Still twiddling her fork around, the faunas looked up at her.

"So are you gonna be my date for the reunion or am I gonna have to bring someone else?"

She almost let out a laugh seeing her eyebrow furrow and ears immediately perk up. "What?"

"Are you going to be-" Yang began to reiterate.

"I heard you. I just figured that us going together was pretty obvious."

"Ohh. Nah. If you weren't going I'd bring someone else."

Ignoring Blake's narrow-eyed look that she absolutely knew she was making, Yang cut into her food and took a bite as nonchalantly as she could.

The blond looked back up to see she was still staring.

"I'm just kitten, Blake. I'm actually quite offended that you'd think I'd go with anyone else. Even with your bad dancing."

Her mouth curved into a small half-smile and Yang knew she had completed her mission.

She reached across the table, grabbing Blake's hand and smiled back.

An idea popped into her head. "You still have that card I told you to hold on to?"

Blake nodded and reached into her purse, pulling out an ID card with the blonde's smiling face on it.

It was so obviously and ridiculously fake, but it never ceased to work.

Considering an average adult huntress would have two work permits, identification, and credit cards, people just stopped paying as much attention to fraudulence. Although, being a huntsman or huntress sometimes let you get away with small things out of respect.

Or fear.

With Yang, it was always both. Being on TV had its perks.

Blake watched her head towards the bar and come back with two brightly colored drinks, complimenting the orange slice that sat on the rim of the glass.

Yang placed the drinks on the table and sat down, tapping on the side of the drink with her nail. "Just the thing you need."

Bringing the pink straw to her lips, she sipped with a satisfied hum. "Cost me an arm and a leg, but it was worth it."

Blake shook her head at the sentence, not even sure if she said it on purpose. She took a sip of her drink, feeling she'd need it to deal with that.

The faunas instantly cringed at the strong taste.

"What is that?"

Yang laughingly replied. "A Strawberry Sunrise."

Golden eyes widened in surprise.

"How in the world did you not get caught at school? I thought that was a virgin drink."

"That's just what I told Weiss so she'd get off my back."

"I'm surprised no one got contact-drunk from just talking to you."

"I know, right?"

The night went on and with every unsure sip Blake took, her worries went away bit by bit. She was a lightweight after all.
