Yang made her way down the stairs. The shower was refreshing but it still didn't cool her off as much as she'd hoped.
Along with that, her mind still lingered on what Blake was out there doing. Apparently it had to be important, or her dear girlfriend just got some kind of kick out of exciting her emotions and then leaving.
She would have to get her back for that.
Weiss turned her attention away from the clear view she had outside and watched the blonde walk towards her.
"Where's Ruby?"
Weiss nodded her head towards the patio door. "She's out there sparring with Oscar."
Yang stood next to her, observing the scene through the sliding doors. She winced when Oscar managed to connect a good hook. Sparring was how they'd learn but she still didn't like to see her sister get hit.
Yang had taught him a few things about close-quarters combat, considering he needed at least some morsel of a way to protect himself without a semblance. He had JNR helping him too but Yang was the best hand-to-hand combat teacher he'd get. She had taught Ruby even more throughout the years, though...
"He's telegraphing his jabs, you should've seen that coming, Ruby!"
So she had no excuse.
Tough love was needed in this process.
If anything, Ruby should be way better than him. Their enemies wouldn't care, so she had to be tough for their sake.Ruby frowned for a brief moment and rubbed at her cheek. She quickly fired herself up, moving towards the boy in a hurried speed, throwing all types of sloppy punches at him. Oscar's aura took the brunt of it but he wasn't the best at using and maintaining it. At least he had some handle on it from what Ozpin had taught him.
He was gone though, and now the youngest relied on the varying skills of the 'older kids'.
"Stop relying on your semblance, when your aura is down then what are you gonna do? Fast doesn't mean better."
She might've been projecting just a little but Ruby didn't need to make the same mistakes that she did.
Weiss took a small sip of her coffee and raised her brow. "A bit harsh, aren't you?"
Yang shrugged.
"I have to be, our dad was the same way with me. They're young, but I'll be damned if I let them be dumb."Weiss nodded and directed her focus back to the match.
Yang just shook her head, displeased. "She relies on Crescent Rose too much." She murmured, mainly to Weiss.
"Do I need to get Blake here to teach you guys how to sneak? Stop telegraphing."
Jaune shuffled down the stairs, whistling to himself.
"Jaune, perfect timing." Yang spoke, catching his attention.
The blonde boy gave them a confused look.
"You should probably help Oscar out." Weiss explained.
Jaune followed her eyes to the scene outside. He sighed after seeing the boy painfully rub his jaw. He tries his best to teach him aura control, yet Oscar still lets himself get psychically injured. Jaune had to heal him more than a few times.
While he did that, Yang sat on the couch, watching Weiss head into the kitchen and return with another mug in hand.
"It's quite weird seeing someone like Jaune scold Oscar." Weiss said as she handed the cup to Yang, who accepted it with confused eyes. "Don't worry. It has way too much sugar and cream in it like your sister's. You seem like you need it."
