"Cam, I will always have time-"
"Busy with Pey." He cut him off "Or Bradley or Joel. Whoever it was they always got your attention first."
They were interrupted when Monica walked in the door "Chandler, Joel got sick." She told him, holding the phone in her hand.
Cameron looked down, then back up "He's your son." He said softly "I'm just someone that fills an empty room." Swinging his backpack over his shoulder he rushed out of the room.
"Cameron!" Chandler ran after him "Cameron!" He grabbed his bag.
Cameron quickly turned around "Get off me!" He said through grunted teeth, he started to fight back but all that came were tears when he lunged forward and hugged the only man that gave him a place to stay. The only man that he could call family. The only man that loved him.
Chandler hugged him tightly, not carrying about the looks he received from others who passed by.
"I'm sorry." He hugged his dad that was just a foot taller than him. "I'm sorry." He repeated
Teachers passing by got the kids back to class as Chandler stood in the hall hugging his son with his wife just a few doors down, watching. "I can never lose you." He pulled back "We would all be a mess without you." They chuckled
He blinked a few times before looking around at the empty halls "John and Tony didn't see this, did they?"
Chandler smiled "Nah, just the girls."
Cameron sighed "Great..."
"Don't worry, girls dig sensitive guys."
"Not the ones that cry in the middle of the school." He turned to see his mom looking at the phone in her hands.
She nodded and walked over to them "Are you sure you are going to be okay?" She rubbed his shoulder.
"Yeah. I'm sorry that I went off on you guys like that. I guess I'm just upset to see the twins grow up with both a mom and a dad when I didn't have either one."
"But you have us now. And we aren't going anywhere."
He smiled "I like that."
Monica left the school and her class with a sub as she went to pick up her kids from day care.
"Mrs. Bing," The care worker passed her their bags.
"Thanks." She said softly
"We gave Joel some children medicine hoping that might help a little bit. He said his stomach hurt then he got sick." She informed her
"Okay." Monica helped him with his shoes then picked him up and took Bradley's hand. "I'll just take them both home now. Thank you." She said before leaving.
"Is Joel going to be okay?" Bradley asked looking beside him at his sleeping twin brother.
"Yeah baby, he just doesn't feel good so we gotta be extra quiet so he can sleep."
He nodded "Shhh..."
When they got home, Monica gave Joel a glass of Sprite that would help settle his stomach before lying him on her bed as Bradley took a nap in the boys room.
Going back downstairs she looked at the clock and knew that the rest would be back in an hour.
"Hey, I'm going to Alice's, so I'm just going to catch a ride with her." Cameron told his dad after the final bell rang to go home.
"Wait," Chandler stopped him "Do you think Alice can bring me home?" He asked hesitantly, not wanting to call Monica and bring their sick kid out to pick him up from work.
