Kayla's POV

The next day, I was on the phone with my friend Josie. I hadn't talked to her in at least a month and we were catching up.

"So tell me, how's Mr. Money Bags?"

"Oh my god, would you stop calling him that." I say laughing.

"Well, he's got it....a lot of it." She says

"Yeah but he's more than just money."

"I get it but he's worth millions and you're dating him. Any wedding bells in the future?" She asks

"No, not that I know of. We're good though. He doesn't want to get married again."

"And what do you want?" she asks

"I don't know, I really haven't thought about it. I guess I wouldn't mind but a lot has to change if we ever did have that conversation."

"Like what? You have it all. Do you understand you're in the perfect situation." She says and it might be true but it ain't all that great.

"Not really."

"What the hell is so bad that you wouldn't marry him tomorrow if he asked?" She asks

"I don't really want to talk about it. There's just things that we need to work on." I say trying to avoid the long conversation that would lead to.

"Fine don't tell your best friend then. All I know is, I can't wait for your wedding and I can't wait to be your maid of honor." She says and I laugh

"Well you have a lot of time to prepare because it will be a while before any of that happens..... Plus, there's this guy." I say

"What guy, is that a good thing?"

I laugh, "I guess it's a good thing. We're friends."

"Okay, why do I care about this?" She asks

"Well we've been getting pretty close these last couple of months."

"I'm telling! Are you cheating? Don't fuck up a good thing Kayla." She says in a warning tone.

"No, no, it's nothing like that. I do like him and he's really sweet." I say

"Why don't you see what happens with that? You should explore all your options. If Paul doesn't want what you want, then you might need to look elsewhere anyway." She says and she's right but I don't know.

"I completely feel you on that, but we can only be friends because Paul is his boss."

"WHAT?" She yells in shock, " You got with one of the wrestlers?"

"Yes, I mean no, we didn't get together and nothing happened. Well, something did happen." I say

"What?"

"He kissed me."

"And what did you do?" She asks

"I pushed him away and left." I respond

"Okay good. Are you guys still on good terms?"

"Yes. But I don't think he cares about Paul finding out. You know Paul doesn't want me talking to anyone, so it's not like I can be open with our friendship. I have to sneak around and lie about it and I don't feel comfortable doing that to him. He's done a lot for me and I feel like I'm being disrespectful." I say

"Well, you are but if your intent is just to be friends, and that's what's going on, then it should be okay." She says

"I don't want to stop talking to him, but I just feel like this is wrong. If he found out he would get pissed."
