You're all mine

Kayla's POV

"You still have feelings for him." Tommy says

"What? No, I don't." I say taking another sip of water.

"You do. I see right through you. Are you just using Joe to get back at him?" He asks

"I think you're just trying to make something out of nothing. Why do I have the feeling that you're trying to come between us? I thought you were cool and I wanted to get to know you as Joe's friend but now with you saying that, I'm kind of skeptical because I don't have feelings for him, I hate him and I don't know what type of conversations that you and Joe have had, so I don't know if he's told you anything about my situation, or what he helped me get out of but I'm not feeling it right now and I'm not going to act fake and sit here and try to have a dinner with you and laugh with you, when it clearly seems that something isn't right here." I fuss

"What are you talking about?" He says calmly

"You just seem a little shady to me. I know that there's nothing going on here on my end or on your end. I don't think that you're trying to talk to me or do anything behind his back but it just seems like something isn't right. That's all I'm saying and if Joe gets mad at me because I walked out on this dinner, he's just gonna have to be mad because I'm not gonna put myself in this situation."

"So you're just going to leave when you clearly know he wants you to do this?" He asks

"Yes, I don't know what your motives are. I honestly don't understand why someone who calls himself his friend would agree to go on a "date" with his friends girlfriend. I don't get that vibe that you're trying to talk to me or anything like that but I don't know you, so I don't know, I could be wrong."

"Don't flatter yourself Kayla, you ain't that hot. You cute, but that's about it. All I wanted to do was get to know you because as you know, Joe has been through a lot. I've been friends with him since childhood and I'll be honest with you though, I don't like how y'all moving. I think things are moving too fast, I think he's too into you and I don't know what your motives are. That bitch he was with fucked him up and she did not give a half of fuck about it. Now if you don't trust me that's fine, but I'm going to tell you what he told me. He told me to stay out of it, which is what I'm going to do. But I just want you to know, I'm watching every move that you make and I just hope you have good intentions as far as he goes. Joe falls hard, and he falls fast. I just want to make sure you're with him for the right reasons and won't hurt him."

As he finishes up his sentence, the food comes.

"We don't have to sit here and eat, why don't we just box food up and go back to Joe's house." He says

"That's fine."

We get everything to-go, Paul already paid, so we walk out into the parking lot. Joe was still there, sitting in the same spot, right in front of the restaurant. Tommy opens my door, I get in the car and look over at Joe. He had a bloody nose.

"Oh my god! What happened?" I say surprised

"I don't know what you said to him Kayla, but when he walked out of the restaurant, he was talking a lot of shit about you and he was doing it to my face. So I punched him in his." Joe says

"Dude! How many times do I have to tell you, you can't go around punching people in the face, especially not him." Tommy says

"Yeah, he's probably going to sue me."

"He's not going to sue you, Joe." I say rolling my eyes, "I can't believe you actually got physical with him twice in one day. But he's not going to sue you, you don't have to worry about that." I say over the situation.
