"Sorry again for the mess," Zach said as we stepped inside his room.

You would expect me to be used to a messy room, since I had a brother myself. But honestly, Jack was even less messy than me, which said a lot.

"It's okay," I smiled at him.

He gathered his clothes from the ground and his bed and put them on his desk chair before turning to me again.

"You can sit down if you want." He gestured towards his bed.

I nodded and took off my shoes before taking a seat, making myself comfortable by sitting against the wall.

"Can I get you something?" He scanned me up and down.

"Just some water, please."

"Sure."

After he exited the room, I let my eyes wander around. They landed on the unpacked boxes, the messy desk, the guitar in the corner of his room, and finally, the picture on his nightstand.

There were two people on the picture. The first one being Zach, but a lot younger. He looked happy: teeth, decorated with braces, were showing in a big smile, his hair done up in a clean quiff instead of the messier haircut he had now. The woman, who was wrapping her arms around him, shared the same happy expression.

I came to the conclusion that it had to be his mother, right as Zach came back.

He handed me a glass of water and I thanked him as he plumped down next to me on the bed.

"Like you asked me to, I've finished my speech yesterday. I mostly tried it in Spanish, but there were a few parts that I couldn't figure out," he said, grabbing his laptop and opening up Word.

He handed the device to me and I started reading the whole speech, sometimes correcting the grammar and translating the parts he was missing.

He had written about how he looked up to artists like Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes, countries he dreamed of performing in, how his dad used to play in this local band in Texas, which got him into music.

When I finished, I felt like I knew him better. He had involved so much details, showing how passionate he was about music.

After three hours of none stop working on the PowerPoint, it was finally done.

It only took so long because of Zach.

I hadn't realised before how much of a perfectionist he actually was, which was kind of amusing yet somewhat annoying at the same time.

Zach let himself drop on his bed, flat on his back and let out a groan.

"Okay, I'm done with it. I think we've worked enough for today," he stated, rubbing his hands over his face.

I chuckled. "Yeah, probably. I guess I'll go home then." I started getting up as the words left my mouth.

"Wait, no, I didn't say that," he said immediately, dropping his hands to look at me.

"Okay." I looked at him, sitting back down. "Then what do you wanna do?"

"Oh Princess," he started, lips turning up in a small smirk. "You shouldn't ask me that question. I mean," he cocked his head slightly on the pillow, eyes glancing from my lips to my eyes. "I can picture us doing a lot of things on this bed."
