I didn't want the night to end.
When we got out of his car and he walked me to my front door, I couldn't help but feel sad that it was over.
Still, I turned to him on the doorstep with an undying smile on my face. "Thank you, for seriously everything."
"You're seriously welcome, Princess," he said back, smiling all the same.
"Oh wait." I remembered I still had his jacket on, which he had given to me when I got chilly during the dancing, and started taking it off.
"You wait," he chuckled, taking ahold of the jacket and placing it over my shoulders again. "I don't need it back."
I looked up at him, surprised. "Really?"
He nodded. "Yeah, keep it as long as you want, it looks better on you anyway," he said, eyes twinkling.
He never failed to make a blush creep onto my cheeks. "I highly doubt that," I told him, a smile playing on my lips.
He stepped forward, the corners of my mouth tugging up more as I felt his lips against my cheek. "I'll see you tomorrow, Princess."
As he turned to his car, I placed my hand on his arm, stopping him. He looked back at me, eyebrows raised questioningly.
"You missed," I said with teasingly twinkling eyes. My words caused a frown to appear on his face.
The corners of his mouth tugged up as I glanced from his eyes to his lips and back.
Drawing his bottom lip between his teeth, he turned back to me. "You could've just said that," he said, an amused look on his face.
I rolled my eyes slightly, making a chuckle leave his lips. "Just kiss me," I told him. "Please."
"My pleasure," he smiled, pushing my loose hair behind my ears with both his hands before resting them on my cheeks, his metal rings cold against my skin. Gently, he pulled me closer to him, connecting our lips together in a slow, more passionate kiss.
When he pulled back, leaning his forehead against mine, he had me wanting more. I was sure he felt my cheeks heat up under his fingertips.
"I'll text you later, love." He broke our body contact by stepping back, his cheeks slightly flushed as well.
I bit my lip smiling as I nodded, even though the only thing I had really heard him say was 'love', instead of the usual 'Princess'.
I waved after him as he got into his car and drove home.
With the smile still firmly plastered on my face, I opened the front door and walked inside.
Jack looked up from his phone when I entered the living room. "Hmm," he scanned me up and down. "Smile? Check. His jacket? Also check. Clothes? Double check. Virginity? Thank God check."
Rolling my eyes at him, I let myself plump down on the couch.
"Oh no," Jack sat up straight, making me look at him questioningly. "Your heart's missing!" He looked at me, pretending to be panicked. "Dang, Riley, I think he stole it!"
I failed to hold back a chuckle as I grabbed the nearest cushion and threw it towards his face. "Shut up."
Laughing, he caught it.
I heard footsteps running down the stairs seconds before Isla barged into the living room, wearing just her pyjamas.
She looked at me. "Please tell me how to get a handsome boyfriend like that too."
