8- the purge begins

Clary's POV

I woke up, peeling my eyes open. The slice of light coming through my partly open curtains give me enough light to see around my room.

It was plain, very plain, but that didn't matter. It would soon be ashes basically anyways.

The thought brought a smile to my face. I slid out of bed, the cold air nipping at my bare skin.

I pull off my pajama shorts and replace them with my black jeans and put on a black singlet before exiting my room.

I'm in an awfully good mood this morning, not even my glamour can hide my mood.

I skip over to Jonathan who is standing at the kitchen bench, eyebrows furrowed in thought. "Brighten up brother, stop thinking so much" I smile at him before side stepping around him and prancing out of the kitchen.

I was looking down at the ground when I bumped into someone. I saw Izzy look up, startled "oh sorry I wasn't watching where I was going!" I say, being this polite discusts me. She smiled "it alright I'm sorry aswell I wasn't watching either, it's nice having a girl around here sometimes, we should have some girl time" I smile and nod "Yeh!  I never have girls around my age! We should go down and look around town or something!  It's been ages since I was here last and I can hardly Remember it!" It was basically true, I never had girls around and I hadn't been in Idris since we left really. Izzy agreed and so we headed out not long after. We just strolled along the cobblestone path, chatting about random things, it was nice, I had never done this sort of thing before.

"So what do you think of this whole thing with Valentine?" Izzy asked

I stiffened slightly but played it off and mentally told myself to be more cautious

"I think it's kinda stupid, we should still have shadowhunters out there fighting demons, just afew should have come here. Valentine is very clever, he has all of us in the palm of his hand basically, the clave are absolutely stupid in my point of view" I stated.

"So you basically agree with Valentine?"

"I don't think we should kill loads of people to change things, but I do believe the clave is stupid, everyone does. Having all of the shadowhunters gather here is just proof. Don't you think if Valentine wanted everyone in the one spot, he is smart enough to make it happen?"

Izzy thought about what I said for a minute, "So your saying that Valentine wants all of the shadowhunters gone so he can do his stuff without being noticed?"

I smiled "I'm saying I think what Valentine wants Valentine gets, even now, after years of hiding, he has power beyond control. There is a reason he has made all shadowhunters come here, we just don't know what it is" I decided I wasn't going to say anymore about this, I had already said enough.  We continued in silence, Izzy thinking about everything I had said. After we had walked around and talked a little more it was getting kind of darker. The time had gone by quickly and before I knew it we were back inside the Penhallow mansion.

I walked inside and was immediately dragged to the side by Sebastian

"Where have you been?!" He whisper yelled

"I was out with Isabelle, we're you worried about me dear brother?" I smirk

"Worried? Of course I was! I didn't know where you were!" He looked generally truthful

"I'm sorry, I know we have to do it tonight, how about you stay, keep them occupied, give me a bit of your blood just incase, do what you need to do and then watch them, stay with them ok, I will find you when I'm done. Signal father tell him when it is done and he shall bring them demons through." I whispered quietly to him

"Good idea sister, I'll make sure they don't suspect a thing, I'll just say you went out to get a new seraph blade, oh and here I already got my blood" he handed me a vial full of the black liquid that is his blood, I stuffed it in my pocket, "good luck brother" I leant up and kissed his cheek,  "good luck my sister, be safe" "of course, aren't I always" I said smiling before I skipped off and out the door back onto the streets and start to head over to the demon towers. I scaled ober yhe top of them then I pulled out my small knife and cut my palm, letting my shiny dark blood flow and pulling out the vial of Sebastian's blood. "Let it begin" I whispered mischievously.

Does anyone have any ideas that would make Clary go to Jace? I have a general idea but idk cause in the normal book Clary kills Valentine so...?? Anyways if you have any ideas comment it would be helpful! Thanks for so many reads to! Ahh I'm so excited ok love you!
