I wake up, squinting against the rays of sun that hit my face. I shift, feeling someone's arm around me. I turn and see Evan, his eyes closed. I nearly yelp, sitting up. Evan's eyes flutter open as he smiles. "Hey."

"Hey." I reply, my heart rate shooting through the roof.

He sits up as well, kissing my cheek. Last night comes rushing back to me as I blink. "How are you holding up?" I ask, taking his hand.

He looks at our hands, running his thumb over my knuckle. "I'm better." He says softly, a small tinge of sadness in his voice.

I gently squeeze his hand, giving him a small smile. I get a text from Connor, the familiar chime coming from the floor. I pick my phone up from off the ground, reading the message.

Y/n?
Did you stay the night at Evan's?

Yeah.
Sorry for not telling you

No problem.
Have fun.
I'll see you later, kay?

See you

I stretch, crawling out of bed. "Thanks for staying with me." Evan says quietly, smiling. "It really means a lot."

"Of course." I say, looking down as I rock back and forth on my heels. "I'd do anything for you."

He smiles at me, sighing dreamily. "What?" I ask, my face warming up.

"I'm just so happy that I'm with you." He says, his cheeks flushing.

"I-I feel the same." I take his hand, helping him out of bed.

He looks at my cast, smiling. "One second." He turns to his desk and grabs a red sharpie. He takes my arm, glancing at me as he scribbles a small heart next to his name. "There."

I blush harder, laughing quietly. "I love you." I say before I can take it back.

He looks at me before pressing a chaste kiss to my lips. "I love you too."

I close my eyes for a moment, lost in the feeling of his lips against mine. I kiss him again, this time for a longer period of time. I sigh against him, breaking away. "I love you so much." I would say it a thousand times if I could. He deserves so much more than what I can give him.

"I love you so much, too." He pecks my cheek and takes my hand. "Let's go down for breakfast." He says.

I nod, his parents already absent. "What do you want?" He asks, searching his fridge.

"Anything you want." I shrug.

He looks at the clock, which reads: 11:29. "I'll just heat up some leftovers. You want some?"

"Sure." I smile, looking out the window. I realize that I'm still in the same clothes from yesterday. "Do you have something I can change into?"

He glances at me, nodding. "I'm sure there's something in my closet."

I hurry to his bedroom, looking around. I grab a purple and white striped shirt and a pair of jeans. After adjusting the jeans, I walk back downstairs, my clothes bundled in my arms. "You can put your clothes wherever." He says, handing me a plateful of food.
