Jaehyun heard a knock on his door, pressing the button on his desk, he let it open. It was you. He clearly said to send the papers, but of course, you never listened. This is why he got pissed at you in the first place.

"I told you to send the papers." His voice shooting daggers at you.

"I just thought-" your voice was low, not wanting to anger him more.

"Didn't know you were capable of such thing," he said bitingly, still not looking at you. "go to work, Ms y/l/n."

"But-" he raised a hand, gesturing you to stop talking.

"I already told you to go to work. Don't test my patience with you."

You scoffed and turned away, Jaehyun had gotten to the max level of pettiness and whatever bottled anger he had, he was taking it off on you.

When you got to your office, a new stack of papers was waiting for you. All articles from interns, which was not your branch. You wanted nothing more than to go up to Jaehyun and throw all of it on his face.

He was being an asshole to you for no reason—or at least not one you know of.

You had to cancel plans with Rose for the 5 time this month, Jaehyun kept overworking you and you were exhausted. Dark circles were already forming below your eyes.

While you stayed up at night working, he would stay up with some girl—sometimes guy–in his room.

You were looking forward to Friday night so bad, you had called Rose and invited her over.

Jaehyun was out with his friends, you assumed cause Johnny said he was busy tonight, so you had the house all to yourself. Finally.

You did earn quite some money, but you had to take care of your family back home, sometimes you barely had money to pay the bills, which is why you can't get rid of Jaehyun as much as you would want to.

"So, is your mom okay?" Your friend asked when you told her about your call with your mother a while ago.

"She said she was getting better, but I can't help but feel worried..." you looked down at the slice of pizza on your hands. "You know my mom, she just doesn't want me to worry."

"Maybe she was telling the truth this time." She said trying to comfort you. When Rose was living with you, you had to fly home to visit your mother because she had gotten sick after assured you she was okay. You truly thought you were going to lose her, but she eventually got better.

"I don't know, and then I fought with my sister again." A long sigh left your lips. "She started yelling at me, calling me selfish. And she had the guts to tell me I should stop slutting around with Jaehyun when we can't even stand each other."

"You should really stop listening to her, I know she's your sister, but sometimes she can be so fucking annoying." You giggled at Rose's expression.

"She is annoying, talking about Jaehyun... I did something really bad."

"You slept with him?!" She started hitting your arm.

"No! I was having sex with Johnny, my boyfriend, and I might've moaned Jaehyun's name instead?" She snorted and started laughing loudly.

"It's not funny! I don't know why I did it! I don't even like Jaehyun."

"Sure hun, then why were you thinking about him while having sex with another man?"

"I don't know! But it was so embarrassing, Johnny acted like he didn't hear... but I know he did, and he's been avoiding me lately."

"This is hilarious! And your boyfriend's name is Johnny?" You nodded. "Are we connected or something? Cause I have been going out with a guy named Johnny for a few weeks now, he's amazing in bed."

"It is not! We might be..." your head started flooding with thoughts that maybe it was the same person, but Johnny would never cheat on you.

You wanted to ask Rose to describe him, Jaehyun's words playing in your head.

'Stay away from Johnny, he will try to ask you out, but all he wants is to mess around.'

But Jaehyun was wrong, he just wanted to make your life a living hell. Cause he hated you.

"So, Johnny, how is he?" You asked. "Are you guys dating?"

"You know I don't date, y/n." She bit her food and looked at you. "We're just messing around, all we do is have sex."

"Oh..." you wanted to trust Johnny, but a little part of you couldn't.

"Are you okay, bubs?" Your friend's hand was in yours.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just tired." Yeah, that's it. You're tired. Johnny wouldn't cheat on you, if he asked you to be his girlfriend was because he wanted to be with you, and you only.

"Honey, you've been spacing out ever since I got here." You heard Rose say as she picked the boxes in front of you and put them to the side.

"I know, I'm sorry..."

"Who are you thinking about?" You sighed, and she smiled sympathetically. "Jaehyun?"

"No..." she looked at you unamused. "Maybe? He's just... confusing me."

"What did he do or say?"

"He told me to stay away from Johnny when I first met him, but I know he did it to bother me."

"What did he say?" She paused the movie that was long forgotten.

"He said Johnny just wanted to fuck around with me... but he's wrong."

"It sounds to me like he cares about you, hun. I don't know your Johnny, but if he's Jaehyun's friend, then maybe he knows what he's talking about."

"I don't know, Jaehyun hates me, he wouldn't care if Johnny was using me, he would probably help him to cheat on me."

"Is that really what you think of me?" Jaehyun said. He was home all this time, you could tell by his bed hair and pajamas. "You really think I am such an asshole, to help Johnny cheat on you when I warned you about him?" Rose shifted on her seat.

"I told you he was not good for you, yet you still went out with him. If he's cheating on you it's not my fault." His voice got louder and stronger after each word.

"He is not cheating on me Jaehyun, you just want to confuse me cause you enjoy my misery." He scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"You are the one who enjoys being miserable, you are the only person responsible for your misery, not me."
