"Let's just," you started, licking your lips to prevent from crying. "Let's just take some time, yeah?"
"I will wait for you, you could leave for 10 years and I will still wait for you." He said cupping your face.
"Jaehyun, please don't make this harder." You said when he leaned in to kiss you.
"This won't be the last time I kiss you." He whispered. "Promise me, it won't."
"I promise." He kissed you and you left, without looking back.
He slowly closed the door and slid down the wall; his hands ran up his face, stopping to rest on his hair. He let the tears fall down his face as the thought of you never coming back started flooding his mind. You were not coming back, and he was aware of it.
Jaehyun was sitting on the couch when he heard a desperate knocking on the door. 'she came back?' he thought. It had been a week since you left and every time someone knocked on the door, he prayed that it was you, but it never was. this time was no exception.
"What are you doing here?" Jaehyun asked.
"Where's y/n?" the tall guy asked and looked around.
"For what? You want to try and hurt her again?" Jaehyun rolled his eyes and was going to close the door.
"Jaehyun, fuck off and call her for me."
"No."
"What?"
"I said no. She doesn't want to see you, she's my girlfriend now anyway." He said.
"What are you talking about?"
"She is mine. Now, how about you fuck off before I kick you out."
"You are talking nonsense here, buddy. y/n will never be yours, you wanna know how good I made her feel when-" Jaehyun shut Johnny up by swinging his fist unto his face.
"I told you to talk about her with respect." He yelled, all his rage and frustration were leaving his body in a violent wave.
Johnny grabbed Jaehyun by the collar and pushed him back, causing the younger one to hit his head on the corner of the coffee table on the living room. Punches and kicks were thrown in Jaehyun's direction, blood coming out of his mouth in a matter of minutes after. Johnny showed no mercy to his old friend, taking advantage of him being on the floor, he kept on hurting him.
"Johnny get off him! you're gonna kill him!" they heard Mark's voice say, his eyes went wide when he saw the bloody Jaehyun on the floor barely moving.
Mark grabbed Johnny and pulled him off Jaehyun. Johnny was breathing heavily as he stared at Jaehyun wincing in pain. He backed up slowly not knowing what came over him.
"Fuck..." he swallowed hard and left.
Mark grabbed Jaehyun and helped him up, taking him to the hospital after. The doctor said he had a concussion and had to have stitches sewn on the back of his head and his lip. Jaehyun laid in the hospital bed and stared at the ceiling.
"Please, don't tell her..."
"I won't."
He laid there still staring at the ceiling wishing it was you next to him taking care of his wounds like last time, except this time he would know to not push you and his feelings away. He was scared, scared of hurting you like he did before. He had fallen in love once before you, and it didn't end well. Now he loved you, harder than he has ever loved anyone, and he hurt you; he started to think that it was better to let you go for you start over with someone who was going to make you happy—and maybe that person was not him.
