It had been a few months since you last spoken to Jaehyun. Doyoung slowly became a part of your regular life, he took out on 'friendly outings' but you knew they were dates. You accepted merely cause Mark apologized and told you what was happening with Jaehyun. If he could get over you so fast and marry Haeun, then you could do the same; and who knows? Maybe you could get married too, but that was nonsense.
Therapy has been a great friend of yours lately, it had given you the power to forgive and forget. Your heart was now open to love without fear, but still with caution. Mark visited you often, he had told you that he recently bought an apartment and was now living with Maria. You felt happy for them, and maybe also a little envious. You wished thing with Jaehyun would've worked, even though he was probably over you, you were not over him.
"Hey sweetie, how are you?" you heard Doyoung ask and lean in to kiss your cheek.
"I am doing great! It's almost my birthday and also Christmas! I can't wait!" it was also almost a year since you moved out. You hugged him underneath his coat, trying to steal his warmth. You felt his lips press on your hair and your eyes closed, taking in his scent you snuggled closer to him.
"Are you cold?" he cooed and lifted your chin with his fingers to kiss your lips. You moved your head to the side, his warm lips landing on your cheek before sighing. "I'm sorry."
"I'm not ready yet, Doyoung." His lips lingered on your cheek before pressing a kiss on your forehead.
"I know, I'm sorry. I should've asked." He stroked your hair and smiled sweetly. His hand grabbed yours and he pulled you to join him.
"Where are we going?" you asked as he led you down the sidewalk of the main street.
"I want some ramen? It would help with the cold and also prevent you from getting sick." He smiled and made a kissy face.
"You're annoying." You laughed and hit his arm playfully as you entered the restaurant.
Jaehyun entered his office to be greeted by his father, his wife, and his, seemingly very angry, mother.
"What's happening here?" he asked confused.
"You really believed this inept man that he had married you to this... ugh, I don't even have a name for her annoying ass." His mother asked bitterly.
"What are you talking about?"
"You are not married! They scammed you! I raised you better, Jaehyun." She yelled.
"Wait..." his heartbeat picked up and his face started getting red. "What do you mean I am not married?"
"It was a scam, but now that that bitch is gone, we can get married for realsies!" she squealed.
"You fucking lied to me?" he yelled. "Are you telling me I pushed y/n away because of a fake marriage?" his anger took over him and he walked to grab the man by the collar, choking him in the process.
"JAEHYUN! LET GO OF HIM!" Haeun shrieked.
"Fuck off and mind your own fucking business!" he yelled, and she looked scared as Jaehyun let go of his father's collar and pushed him over, causing the man to fall to the floor.
He ran a hand through his hair and started kicking and throwing stuff.
"Jaehyun, son, calm down." His mom said.
"How am I supposed to calm down?" he yelled. "It's been a year since I last saw her and pushed her away, so she would be left out of this fucking mess!"
"Breaking thing won't fix your problems, honey."
"Mom, I lost her. I fucking lost the love of my life and sent her to another man's arms." He cried, not caring that Haeun and his father were present.
