the night and the mage (rewritten)

POV 3rd person

the mage tower within the castle of Katolis, Lord Viren stood within his study but he wasn't alone, with him were two young people, one was dressed as a young witch in black with long black hair the tips dyed purple, she was young, 18ish, the second was taller, blond hair in knight armour.

these were Lord Viren's children, Claudia and Soren, the pair stood waiting for their father to speak. "I believe you both know about our recent arrival?" he asked

"Yeah, weird guy in the weird armour," Soren answered. 

Viren turned his head slightly, so it was just facing the pair. "I want you to learn what you can about him, he's different, I want to know why, and to know if he's a treat to us, to me, or the king," Viren ordered. 

"You can count on us dad, After all, it's one person how hard could it be?" Claudia asked.

POV ???

the winged beast landed, it looked at me, its large hard turned and mouth opened, and fire came out in a burst, I rolled behind a tree as it stopped. I pulled the gauss rifle off my back, the weapon looked old now, I'd been using the weapon now for years. 

I know if the monster attacked this tree won't save me, I took a deep breath and rolled out, the VATS or vault tec assisted targeting system and zeroed in on its head. this weapon would tear through power armour like one of Moria's sticks and a mole rat. 

it did nothing, I froze for a second and pulled out a mini-nuke, I didn't have a launcher but might not need it, I chucked it out and pulled my 10mm pistol off my hip and shot the nuke, the small explosion that blinded me.

after it faded, the beast was still alive momentarily stunned. So I did a runner. 

POV courier

once I left the company of the others, I decided I need to take my mind off things and headed out of the castle waving at those who waved at me. this place...I wish vegas was this nice, in the trees I found a collapsed tree.

I placed 6 glass bottles, a mix of sunset and Nuka, stepped back and lined up my revolver, then stopped myself, I was a master shooter with this, I need my rifle, lined up and fired. 

memories flooded back, the first days in good springs up to the battle of hoover dam, and the small fights afterwards, the attack against Goodsprings by the legion, holding sunny's body as it went cold, the only woman I loved.  

I stopped and began to reload my hunting rifle, the raid on Goodsprings, the one day I couldn't help, she held them off alone...

I turned pulling my rifle up finding a knight standing there, in similar armour to the rest, with blond hair, and black roots. "You're the new person," he said

I lowered my rifle. "Courier 6, or just 6 if I like you, so far I don't," 

the young man narrowed his eyes at me. "I'm watching," he said in an attempt to scare me. 

I rolled my eyes pulled out my pistol and shoot a bottle off the tree, the man jumping back. "I have faced a horde of angry men with spears, monsters you couldn't imagine so don't threaten me," 

the man slowly backed off but kept staring back at me.

POV ???

my power armour was old now and worn out so I had to stop to try and fix it, a clearing with clear site, I had scrapes only, so I couldn't do much, I started, then a noise something...no someone, enough people have tried to kill me for me to know when I'm being followed. I turned to find more of those creatures. 

My gauss rifle lay outside my reach, my sword was my belt, and I had kept the shock sword in perfect condition, I turned to face them, four of them, one of me, not a fair fight, these four don't stand a chance. 

"Who are you?" the lead one asked, he seemed fierce, readying his weapon, pale skin and white hair.  

I placed my hand on my sword. "I'm not here for a fight," the creature didn't back down so I pulled my sword out. 

"ANSWER ME!" They yelled, charging out at me and trying to knock the sword from my hand, but I managed to deflect the blade and hit him to the ground, their sword falling a few feet from them, the others moving closer. 

"I am the lone wanderer and I'm looking the Courier," 

POV courier

I was thinking, trying to remember how I ended up here, I couldn't remember no matter how hard I tried, Callum and Ezran were nice, the king seemed caring, I hope to get to know them better before I leave....if I live, I could be stuck here, for the rest of my life, I hadn't thought about it. 

Yeah, this place is nice, with nice people, and lovely homes, but it wasn't my home, it wasn't my family my people, I had to find a way back, but what if I couldn't what if I grew old here, what if I never saw Lucy again, or arcade, Boone, Veronica... my family, not a drop of blood but that didn't matter. 

Someone tapped me on the shoulder, and I turned to find a woman dressed in black robes with black hair that was purple at the tips, she reminded me of Viren, but nicer, she looked happy. "Hey, you're the new guy right?" she asked. "I'm Claudia by the way," 

"Courier 6, or just 6," I started. "You're much nicer than the last one to say hi," I added. 

"Yeah, sorry for my brother he's a bit heavy-handed," Claudia said. "Callum brought you earlier so I thought I should stop by and meet you," 

"Nice kid that Callum, well it was nice meeting you," I said. 

"Yeah, I'll see you around then," Claudia said with a wave walking away. 

POV the Lone Wanderer

I held my arm, and one of them got in a luckily hit, I searched the bodies and found a note, from what it said, I was certain I was close to the home of these types of creatures, the note called them moon shadow elves, and apparently, they'd sent a group over to the human kingdoms or something, I didn't pay it half a mind.
