Bill's P.O.V.
We finally arrived at my house ten minutes later. My knee had stopped bleeding and the sky was pitch black. Y/n parked her bike on my lawn. I opened the front door and examined the house. My parents weren't home. Maybe they were still at work or maybe they're sleeping. I checked my watch. 8:21.
I closed the door and climbed the stairs to my room. I put my bag down on my bed and she did the same.
Y/n: Thank you so much for letting me stay the night.
Bill: St-Stay as long as y-you want
She smiled warmly. God, that smile.
Bill: It's g-getting late. W-We sh-sh-shhhhh
I was unable to finish my sentence. My stutter was not fading away. I started shaking and breathing deeply.
Y/n rushed over to me and put a hand on my shoulder.
Y/n: Breathe, Bill. Just breathe. Its alright.
I looked up at her. How did I get so lucky? It just seemed too good to be true. How could someone like her like me, a stuttering freak.
Bill: I'm s-sorry.
She shook her head and pursed her lips.
Y/n: No. Don't apologise. It's not your fault.
Suddenly, her expression changed. I could tell that she had just came up with an idea. She stared back at me with hopeful eyes.
Y/n: Let's work on it
Bill: Work on w-what?
Y/n: Your stutter. Let's work on it...
She grabbed my hand
Y/n: Together
