Emerald's POV
"You got everything you want?" We Walked through the mall barley being able to carry the bags we already had.
"I'm sleepy babe." I said honestly. He hadn't actually gotten sleep weekend which defeat the point of this weekend.
"Stop pouting." He laughed at me while we walked to the car. He forgot about the roses pretty quick I just hoped they weren't there when we got back to the room. The flowers made me happy but only when I thought they were from him.
"If you didn't hand me up at all hours of the night I could sleep." I shot back.
"The first time you woke up was my fault I admit that." He said while I texted Nate to check up on my son. He threw his hands in the sky.
"And the second time?" I locked the phone and gave him space to talk.
"You just couldn't let it go."
"After you brought it back up." I pointed out. We made the treck back to the car and stuffed all the bags in the trunk.
"I'll be damned if you fall asleep mad at me." I ended up getting out of bed trying to go downstairs to avoid an argument but I didn't want to. It wasn't worth it but I was going to piss him off just because.
"Plus you got what you really wanted." Sloan came around opening my car door and prolonging us getting back to the room. I got in to my seat waiting for him to stop playing.
"You're Right." I rolled my eyes watching him close the door and walk to the drivers side of the car. The ride was longer but it may be because I'm tired.
"I don't get car sick often but I feel terrible." He looked at me rubbing my thigh. I grew nauseous When we did pull up it was a hassle getting the bags out of the car.
"Let's just order in tonight." I put my head on his shoulder awhile we waited on the elevator. I thought about his idea and agreed.
"Sounds like a plan." I yawned as the doors opened.
"You really tired me out baby" we stepped on to the elevator in unison. I wasn't one to take naps even when I was young but there is a first time for everyone. He scanned the room key allowing us to press the button for our floor.
"That's my job. But since your stomach hurts I promise to let you rest." I had to call Michelle but it looks like that's out the window. I dropped the things in my head and laid flat on the bed.
"Do you need anything E?" He rubbed my back as I drifted off to sleep.
Emerald James-Thompson never got sick or tired honestly.
"Do you need anything E?" He asked with his hand on her back. I shook my head no. Sloane sat back and looked at her toss and turn. He hadn't gotten in bed yet. I finally got comfortable and wanted nothing more but to lay with my husband. I tried to think about what we ate besides the breakfast we had eaten for the last few days to make me this sick but nothing came to mind. From the sound effects I made he knew that it was a good Idea to put the trash can by the bed. He sat on the corner of the bed.
"I'm not an alien I just don't feel well." I kicked him. With all the time I whipped his snotty nose you would think he would be more receiving of his sick wife.
"I feel like it's food poisoning." He said just before I I could give my theory. I ended up throwing up the contents of my stomach right in to his strategically placed trash can. He removed the trash can and sat me up. He disappeared and came back with a few trash bags.
"I see when the baby gets his vomit genes from." He jokes while cleaning my face.
"Very funny." I took some sips of water in while he stared cracking up.
"Do you feel and better baby?" He finally got serious. I did actually.
"I'm glad that we left that mall. It would have been a problem." I got op to take a shower because I felt disgusting. As soon as I stood I ended up rushing to the the bathroom as my stomach rumbled. I made it to the toilet just in time.
"You alright E?" He ran behind me after hearing me stumble. I flushed my insides down the toilet reaching out for Sloane to help me off the floor.
"I got you. Take it easy." He started the shower and even washed me up, hair and all.
"House keeping is on the way to change the sheets." He rinsed the suds from my body.
"You usually leave this coconut oil conditioner stuff in for a while right?" He looked st the bottle looking for directions.
"Yes. But we don't have to today" I laughed watching him pour the sweet smelling product in his hand.
"Your ass ain't be telling st me about dry hair three days from now. Come here." He slathered the conditioner on my head like it was the last but in the world.
"You are serious." It was cute how he stood with me in the bathroom letting the conditioner sit.
"The bottle says 10 minutes and it's been 8 so do you want it to sit longer?" He said with an attitude. He was not playing with me.
"Ten is fine." Sloan even detangled my hair when he was finished.
"I don't know what's funny. You are lucky to have a man care about your hair." Sloane wrapped me in a towel carring me bridal style out of the door. I laughed un controllably before he sat me down to dry off. I weren't to brush my teeth and dry my hair when the house keeping staff cleaned the room. I heard Sloane make small talk as he made sure the changed the bedding instead of re making the bed.
"You want some soup?" He asked after I turned the dryer off.
"I don't think you should eat much else." I agreed.
While I handled my hair I tried to think about my period. Yeah birth control stops it but lord knows the last time I took a pill. I decided not to say any thing to Sloane because this could really just be something I ate. It also could me another baby rejecting...
"Stop" I said to myself. It was only a matter of time before I got wrapped up in my thought.
