Emerald's POV
"I don't like it." Sloane examined the place from top to bottom. We walked around in yet another wedding venue this time with the baby. As much as they enjoyed having him around it was time for him to come home. Sloane walked with the baby while I talked to Michelle.
"Is it the size?" She took notes.
"We want a small ceremony but we don't want people bunches to you know?" Sloane spoke. He got more and more in to the wedding planning. I personally couldn't keep my mind on it because I have yet to take a pregnancy test.
"Have you all thought about using the club? I could do some pretty great things with it." She looked at us both as we considered it.
"I mean why not?" He looked st me before making it official. Money wasn't an object to him but why not use our resources.
"Sounds good to me!" We Walked out of the venue thanking the owners.
"All of the ideas we have come up with all look great in E's" Michelle's face lit up and the thought of creative freedom now that we weren't spending money on a venue.
"And you should be off to your bridal appointment." Sloane said in his fake snooty voice. We drive separate cars so I could go get Look at dresses and he could take the baby with him to work. I loved to see him with Khalil strapped to his chest or just in his hands while he worked.
"I am. Erica and my mom are meeting me over there." They had no clue that we had been married for about 4 months and the refused to miss the moment I found the perfect dress.
"Well give us a kiss." He held the baby in my direction. I smooched Khalil's chubby cheeks and then my husband's lips.
"You have a good day at work." I walked to the truck to pulled off while he strapped the baby in.
"I'll be home early tonight." I stopped in my tracks.
"Really?" I placed my hand in my hip giving him a side eye. Sloane picked the days he wanted to stay at the club all night and when he wanted to come home. However, before the weekend he had been staying more than normal.
"I promise" I was going to be late to this appointment and I know that my sisters will beat me there.
"Ok daddy." W continued walking to the truck. I caught every red light in the city. I sat tapping my nails on the wheel thinking about how many dresses I was going to have to try on.As soon as pulled up Erica stood in the window. I contemplated driving off but when I saw my mother I knew it was too late. They took all of the excitement out of the process.
"Hurry up." She almost yelled when I walked in to the door. I greeted the woman at the desk before my family. They led us all to the back to a private room.
"A... Sloane Thompson called earlier and instructed us to give you the best of the best." My sister and mother almost went crazy.
"Now this is nice." My mother unfolded her hands and lost her attitude.
"We have some selections picked based on your theme, ceremony date, and your family. She pointed at the back wall filled with dresses I that had my mother written all over it. I walked over to the wall and instantly looked for my favorites.
"No Pnina Tornai?" I admit to watching a little Say Yes To the Dress and browse through magazines.
"Look who's knowledgeable. I love a bride that knows what she wants. Now will you need multiple dresses?" The young girl asked. I decided not to take her comment as an insult.
"Yeah! Ya know why not?" I said getting more comfortable.
"You can have one for the ceremony and one for the license signing." My mother suggested when the staff left the room. It was an unspoken tradition that the marriage certificate is signed at the ceremony and now was the time to break the news.
