Emerald's POV
Sloane was a lot more in tune than I thought. I realized that as we ran all over the city he was just as excited as I was. We decided to keep it small and have close family and friends.
"You hungry baby?" He looked over at me while we walked through the parking lot. After a full day of guests lists and center pieces the venue was all set.
"Starving." I laid my head on his arm as we walked to the car. I kept conversations short because my sisters voice rang in my head. Internally I had been battling a lot. Just when I had it all together, or at least thought I did someone reminded me that I didn't. First Deontay, Lacey, and even my mother had their two cents in my marriage.
"It is the last time that I'll see you before the wedding." We agreed to spend the next day and a half apart just to build a little anticipation. It was clear that the anticipation had already started to build.
We booked a suite at a hotel a few blocks from the venue for before we flew out for the honey moon. After today my sisters, Adrian, Miya, and I would stay there and Sloane would stay home with the baby and his groomsmen.
"I know you a little too well." His master plan was to get me over to that hotel and eat a whole lot more than food. As much as I need a spine bending orgasm to loosen me up I wasn't in the mood.
"Well it turns out that I know you too E. I know that what ever is in your mind is eating at you." He stopped just as we reached the car. This was the point in the conversation where he threw a past indiscretion in my face and vise versa. I just didn't have it in me.
"It was a mistake. I think God that you even let me stand this close to you again. I want to work through this. I need to Emerald." He tackled the elephant in the room. He leaned on the car door as we reached the vehicle. Even though we've been legally married for almost a year the majority of our families didn't know. The fact that the actual wedding ceremony was still happening was our way of letting everybody know, and without the ceremony will be able to quietly divorce and move on with our lives. At this point with the wedding just days away I didn't know what I wanted to do. Especially with my sister's comment contributed to my mindset.
"We are just boyfriend and girlfriend E, you are my wife and I love you and I don't want this to ruin us." He waited for my answer but I truly didn't have one.
"Did I ruin us?" He asked with tears forming in his eyes. I was tired of making him pay for it.
"It's the wedding and everyone who thinks they knows what's best for me when I do t even know what's best for myself. I just-" The vibration of omg phone threw me off.
"What do you mean the wedding?" He asked hoping I wasn't calling it off. Erin called me just in time to change the subject.
"You got me at this big grand ass hotel and you aren't even here" He voice ran through the phone. I took a breath before telling her that I was on the way.
"Listen, the only reason I went to the doctor is because I thought I was pregnant and I found out that I had... well that you gave me chlamydia. But after the treatment and stuff I was feeling off again and took a test. I'm pregnant." I said simply. We had been spending so much time it was hard to sneak away and go to a doctor.
"It's early so I..." he cut me off and started the car.
"Thank you. Thank you for making me the happiest man on earth." His smile warmed my heart but I was still a bit uneasy.
"Sloane. The reason why all of this was so hard is that you never given me a reason to think that you love anyone but me. I may have joked about it or had some suspicions when it happened it broke me. So if you have anything to tell me please tell me now." I pushed him away from me. He looked me in they eye and down to my belly.
