SS IV starts with a bang. Emerald and Sloan's little family is in jeopardy when one too many people get to close to them. Will they make it to a wedding? What about baby number 2?
As much as I missed the baby I was glad that Sloan and I had the rest of the weekend. While I wrapped up with Michelle Sloane did his daily check in with Adrian while she was in Vegas.
"The wedding has to be inside." I made it clear. With allergies I probably wouldn't make it through the ceremony.
"I'll gather some things and give you a call in a day or two. How's that sound?" Sloan shot her a thumbs up just after he hung up. Michelle and I tied up some loose ended and filled Sloane in while we walked down the long stair case. The sound of the furniture being assembled and moved overpowered my voice.
"As long as I don't miss the cake tasting I'm good." He joked before saying his final goodbyes to Michelle. I started the truck while he handed everything over to Max. When he finally got in the truck I knew he was going to rush me.
"Reservations are at 6 baby." We had to go home, freshen up, and change all under 45 minutes. Music softly played while he talked about Vegas.
"It's running itself. This location has Been the problem child."
"It May be time to do a pop up though." I took the highway which I knew he hated.
"You just want to be late huh." He look at me while avoid eye contact.
"We are almost there." I took exit 7 and cut across the development we live in. He didn't have anything to say as I inched in to the garage.
"You got lucky. It's the weekend." His sore loser traits kicked in. He opened the door leading to the house.
"Ouch Sloane." I rubbed my ass while walking up the stairs. I took off my shoes longing for a nice shower.
"I can't keep my hands off you."
"6:00 remember. I shouted out of the bathroom." He picked out clothes while I hopped in the shower. After a long day of doing pretty much nothing I still wanted to relax. I left the water running for Sloane who ended up taking a shower in what will be Khalil's bathroom.
"I'm just waiting on you." He sat ready to go while I was just drying off. He ended up giving me three dress options to avoid being even later. He picked the shortest dresses I owned.
"I prefer the red." He pointed to the dress in the far end of the bed.
"I bet you do." I let him put lotion all over my body before the red lace dress adorned my skin.
"You don't need any of that." He stared after I pulled out a bra and panty set. I laughed simply ignoring him. I slid into the dress soon after I put in the bra.
"Don't look at me like that." I looked at him through the mirror while he zipped up my dress.
"Maybe you're right. We won't make it." We didn't go out much just because we did love being home on our own space. Plus our space allowed us to be as nasty as we wanted. Still being damn near addicted to each other's touch a year after the baby was amazing. Sloane helped me in to my shoes before we left out of the room. He fiddled with his new alarm system for a minute or so before we actually got out of the house.

"You rented out the place and still rushed me." I nudge him.
"Just half of it." We held hands while the hostess walked us to the back of the restaurant. The vibe in the room was completely different from the rest of the restaurant. Candles lit the room while the lights from the city did the rest.
