True Friends

Elizabeth P.O.V

Once Ellatt and I got to school we decided to walk around, since we got here a little early. We then saw Meliodas and the three of us headed to class.

On our way to class I told Meliodas I had to use the restroom and I would catch up with him before class starts. He agreed and I went to go to the restroom. Ellatt followed me since she didn't know were everything was just yet.

I asked Ellatt if she had her schedule yet. She nodded and showed me. We were in the same class together. We walked down the hallway until we came to our classroom.

Outside the classroom door we could hear two people arguing. I listened closely, it was Meliodas and that girl I think her name was Liz. Ellatt and I stayed outside the door to listen to the conversation, until I those words.

"BECAUSE SHE IS ALL OVER YOU. THAT STUPID GIRL IS ONLY A MONSTER, SHE TOYS WITH OTHER PEOPLES FEELINGS TO GET WHAT SHE WANTS. NO WONDER HER MOTHER ABANDONED HER." I heard Liz say. My knees felt weak and I felt like throwing up. Tears threatening to come out. If it wasn't for Ellatt putting her hand on my shoulder to calm me down I would have broke.

That's when I heard his voice. "Elizabeth is not a monster, if anyone here is a monster then it would be you."

He was defending me, I didn't understand why, why would he say that to her, I was deeply confused, I calm down a little as Ellatt and I continued listening.

"Oh really at least my parents didn't abandoned me. What is it you find about her that you would go so far to defend her." Liz said.

The room went silent until he spoke again. "because I like her, Elizabeth is smart, beautiful, special and fun to have around, and yeah maybe her parents did abandoned her, but that's only because they didn't understand her and unlike them I would never leave her, I will always protect her with all my heart and soul, even if it cost me my life."

Those words he said, were full of passion for me. At this point I was at a loss of words. I covered my mouth as I silently cried. Ellatt was behind me hugging me from behind. After that I ran straight home and packed up my things. Ellatt did the same, not even wanting to ask me a question.

I felt horrible for making Meliodas choose between me and Liz. Liz and him were childhood friends from what I heard, and I ruined their friendship, I was being selfish. I don't deserve to be with him or any of the sins. I wrote a quick note to Meliodas, as I knew he would come here looking for me.

We hoped on my motorcycle and road all the way back to our grandfather's house. Once we got there I was greated by my grandfather. I didn't say anything as I had to many thoughts in my head and went to my old room. I stayed there for the whole day and didn't want to come out. I only cried for all the trouble I caused them.

Ellatt's POV

Once we got to our grandfather's house, our grandfather greeted us. Ellie didn't say anything and wen to her old room I think.

Our grandfather always knew if something was troubling us. I told him that I would explain over some tea. He nodded and put the kettle on. I missed our home to some extent. The fun memories of living here with grandpa and Elizabeth.

Once the tea was served I told him the whole story of our new friends and how Elizabeth was finally opening up again until the part were Meliodas was defending her.

He nodded and seemed to be thinking, until I realised that he fell asleep. I tapped him on the shoulder and he woke up.

"With out a doubt if they are her true friends they would be trying to find her. " I only nodded knowing that they would find her. They had special abilities like Ellie.

I walked up stairs and knocked on Elizabeth's door, She didn't answer. I sat on the floor and talked to her. It seemed that she was listening, I heard her walk to the door and sit on the ground like I did.

"Hey Ellie do you still remember the lullaby mom signed to us when we would have trouble sleeping?" I asked her.

"Yeah I do her voice was so beautiful." She answered.

That's when I started to sing the lullaby to at least help sooth her so she can let me in.

Ellatte:~"Count to one, count to two, where do flowers grow?
Underneath the window,
where children softly doze
The moon shining brightly makes every petal glow"~

Elizabeth:~"Count to three, count to four, where do flowers bloom?
Resting upon the mirror frame in mamma's room,
A sweet little bud of a beautiful of blue"~

Both:~"Let us count them all, let us count them all,
All the lovely flowers blooming, let us count them all!"~

Both:~"Count to seven, count to eight, as we fall asleep,
Every child is dreaming of fragrant flowers sweet,
And mamma makes a bouquet for you to keep...
And mamma makes a bouquet for you to keep"~

She opend the door and surprised me with a hug.

"Thank you Ellatt, you always know how to cheer me up." She said. I only grabbed her hands and told her that it wasn't her fault. She was the best sister anyone could ask for.

"Now come on dinner should be ready." We went down stairs to find food on the table. We were wondering were our grandfather was, until he came out of the living room with a phone in his hand. He put the phone back and we all sat at the dinner table.

"Who was on the phone grandpa?" I asked him.

"The head priest that lives at the top of the hill, I asked him if he could drop of some herbs that are brewed into tea." Elizabeth and I only nodded and continued eating.

Once we were done we went back to Elizabeth's old room to share our found memories of living here. We eventually fell asleep together until morning came.

After we ate breakfast the door bell ringed. I was about get it until Elizabeth opened the door. I went to see if it was the head priest, but Elizabeth's expetion told other wise. I looked at the door to see who it was.

I saw the head priest and the sins. Elizabeth quickly went behind me for cover. That's when grandpa came to the door to find the head priest, the sins, me and Elizabeth hiding behind me.

"Please come in. You all must be tired from your trip." Grandpa said.

I told Elizabeth I'll give her a 5 minute head start to find a good hiding spot. She thanked me and ran for it. The sins asked were she was going and I told them she went to the restroom and will be back in a few minutes, which was a total lie. About 5 minutes had past until Meliodas spoke. "She isn't coming back is she?"

I merely laughed nervously, which they took as a 'yes.' They ran past me and split into groups.

Merlin, Escanor and Gowther went to the right hallway. Ban, and Elaine, would search upstairs. Diane and King went to the left hallway. Meaning that Meliodas took the middle hallway.

If I knew Elizabeth, she would be hiding in the music room which was located in the middle hallway. I simply walked down the hallway to make my way towards those the two.
