"So girls, what do you feel like doing now?" Adam asked us with a wink as soon as we were in a quiet hallway, away from all the crowded corridors near the Drama studio.

"Hmm, not sure," Lexi mused, pondering what we could do.

"Oh, I know!" I said, raising a finger. I could almost imagine the lightbulb above my head right now.

"We could go riding?" I suggested brightly, looking between Adam and Lexi for a grin or a 'that's a great idea!'. I was to be left disappointed.

"Kerri, neither of us really know how..." Lexi muttered, scuffing her toe on the ground.

"And I don't even have a horse," Adam added, looking to Lexi for support in their case.

"Neither," Lexi agreed. I sighed, groaning a little at their dodge.

"Guys, c'mon! I promise you it will be fun," I assured, pulling a pout and directing my biggest puppy eyes at Adam. I knew from experience that only ever worked on boys.

"No way Kerri, uh-uh!" Lexi cried, crossing her arms defiantly. Adam hesistated, and I knew I was breaking him.

"Please Adam?" I whined, hanging onto his arm and batting my lashes right in his face.

"Alright, I'll do it for you, big baby," he finally said. I yelped, giving him a hug and sending a smug smile to Lexi. She just huffed and said,

"Fine."

"Why the h/ll did I agree to this again?" Adam asked in annoyance as he tried and failed once again to get up onto his horse. I had found them both horses, and currently Lexi was sitting on hers; a dappled grey. She was also laughing at Adam as he fell down onto the muddy ground with a grunt.

"Because you love me. Now, just swing your leg up, like this," I told him, then hopped up onto my horse with ease. I was perched on June, and absolutely loving the feel of her majestic frame underneath me. I couldn't wait to ride her, since Jacob had never actually taken me out on her since he brought me here. Now I had a prefect chance, only Adam couldn't get up onto his chestnut mare.

"Okay, I'll try one more time and see if I can get it," he announced. He stood next to the horse, took a few deep breaths, grabbed onto the saddle, and jumped whilst he also pulled himself up. He nearly slipped off again, but at the last moment he seemed to steel himself, and yanked himself onto the horse.

"Yes!" I cried, clapping him. He turned on the horse to grin at me, but accidentally kicked her. In an effort to stop her, he only kicked her again and again, which just made it even worse. In a flash, he was gone, hanging onto a horse that was now galloping across the fields away from the school.
