Kerri's P.O.V
Once I had seen Jacob I went straight to Anna's room. I only knew where her room was because I was sort of friends with Bree (her roommate). I don't know what made me think it was a good idea talking to Anna, but after Lexi's words I knew it had to be done. So I walked there as fast as I could, and knocked on the door without hesitation. It opened almost straight away, a surprised Anna answering it, in the middle of saying something,
"I thought I was supposed to meet you in the libra-" she stopped short when she saw me standing in front of her.
"I know I'm probably the last person you expected to see outside your door," I told her, blocking her attempt at slamming the door by jamming my foot in the frame, "but we need to talk."
Reluctantly, Anna opened the door wide enough so that I could see her, and answered,
"Fine. But make it quick."
I sighed, realising that this was going to be harder than I had anticipated. Apparently Anna was not in a good mood today.
"I just want to say sorry to you, because I know you liked Jacob. And then I came along, and you must have felt a bit put out." She looked like she was about to laugh, but then a sneer replaces that and she said,
"Well, how would you feel?" she asked, "how would you feel if, say, you weren't going out with him but you really liked him and then I went out with him and flaunted it?"
What?
"What?" I asked, "Anna, look-"
"No, you look!" she cried, "I've had enough of you walking around this school like you own the place! There's something you should know about your ex boyfriend that I'm betting you won't like..." she trailed off as her eyes caught something behind me. She looked confused, then irritated, but her eyes flashed back to me before I could turn to see what she was looking at.
"Anna," I stared again, nervous that she would make another outburst. When she stayed quiet, I carried on,
"I only came to tell you that I was sorry. And I wanted you to know that Jacob and I are back together."
"Oh," she she angrily, "and you just thought you'd come here and rub it in?"
"No! I just wanted you to hear it from me and not some rumour," I told her, but she wasn't taking it.
"Kerri, I seriously advise you leave before you really annoy me," she said coldly, and I backed away, just clearing the door before she slammed it in my face. I turned to leave, just catching a shadow in my peripheral vision that I was sure was what Anna must've been staring at before. Unfortunately whatever it was had gone before I could see properly. All I knew was that I was pretty sure it was a person. And they had been watching. So I had no doubt that whatever it was, it wasn't good.
