"Fuck what they think!", Audrey heard Roger snort as both of them were sitting on a coffee shop. She rolled her eyes at him.

"Roger, we are talking about a record company," she calmly said after sipping her coffee. He was eating his toast angrily. "You know they can actually reject you, even if you are that good, right?".

The thing was that they sent their recently finished recorded album to almost every record company there was around town. Roger wasn't having it, knowing they sold out every show they had in the summer and mid-fall. But still, in his words- those idiots weren't aware of what they were missing on.

Days ago, as they were doing fun stuff and experimenting with the instruments like crazy people, Audrey took a small break as Roy showed her that they only had thirty minutes left. Some weird guy in a suit and his secretary burst in, the man seemed curious to know what was going on.

"Who are they?", he asked with furrowed eyebrows. Audrey side-eyed Roy with pleading eyes, but Roy didn't see it. So she 'accidentally' played the recently finished Keep Yourself Alive track with expecting eyes.

"Some students recording", said Roy. He seemed very tired, and he wasn't really paying attention to whatever was going on around him. Audrey felt victorious.

"Send me a demo, right?", said the man before nodding to Audrey and leaving.

She told the guys about it, but they never knew who that man was. They asked Roy about it, and he said he was so deprived of sleep that he couldn't really remember who the hell that was.

So, they decided to send off their demos literally everywhere, but with no luck yet.

"But we have poured our fucking souls and all of our money there!", he said while looking at the window, trying not to lash out at her. He clearly wasn't in the mood.

"Yeah, but it doesn't mean that you need validation like that to know you are good... you can do another small tour around and then-", she was interrupted by him.

"Oh, yeah, sure... with what van? Mind telling me? Since we are fucking magicians and made money appear from nowhere- OH THAT'S RIGHT, BECAUSE WE SOLD MY VAN TO PAY IT!", he was now yelling, bringing attention to their table. Audrey had enough. Realizing how he talked to her, he felt embarrassed and tried to speak. "Audrey, I-", but she was beyond upset.

She stood up and threw some money in the table, leaving her food untouched. "When you fucking know how to fucking treat me, talk to me", she said in a low voice. She was now angrier than him. She took her jacket and walked away from the place.

That had been the first fight they ever had. And she was sad by it. Yeah, maybe he was so tired just as she was... but it doesn't justify anything.

Audrey was almost shaking in anger while crossing the street. She could handle him being mad and all that, but that didn't gave him the fucking right to yell at her in public - or yell at her at all.

"So fucking cold", she mumbled as she took her cigarette off the box and lit it. After taking a drag, she felt slightly better while making her way home. As soon as she opened the door, she saw Deaky in his underwear and Veronica throwing the sheets over her body. Audrey had her mouth wide open, in disbelief. "Sorry guys, didn't mean to interrupt, coming back later!"

She closed the door quickly and her back touched the door while blinking quickly. Did she just saw her cousin sealing the deal? That was fucking unbelievable.

The sun was up and it still wasn't time to go to work, since the album was done she came back to Ben's to help him out, even though he said he now could handle it better since he felt younger or something like that. "You have to be kidding me", said Audrey scoffing at him, but he was smiling like he meant it.

"You have your life course, Audrey, don't let an old man like me get in your way", he said with an emotive look in his eyes, taking her hand.

"Don't be ridiculous, Da- Ben... you know I still need the money and that you need me", she said while smiling at him. She had felt embarrassed as he noticed.

"You are free to come at anytime, sweetheart", he reassured her with a smile on his face.

Now she was at Freddie's, hiding from John and Roger for different reasons, while Mary received Brian that recently made his way in the house to talk to Freddie but found Audrey on the piano. She looked upset and very focused as she played some keys on repeat while saying "Don't you, don't you, don't you..."

"Penny for your thoughts?", he said while sitting down next to her on the piano.

She shook her head with a sad smile. "Sorry to say this, but you wouldn't understand"

"Ouch", he mumbled jokingly. "Seriously, I feel that something's off with you", he said quietly.

"Well, the only thing that I can tell you that I can't erase from my mind is that I saw Deaky on his underwear while attempting to shag Ronnie on the couch", she mumbled quickly, making Brian raise his eyebrows in surprise and choking on his saliva by laughing.

"That is everything I needed to hear to kind of understand you", he said, before having a laughing fit.

She gave in and started laughing too.

Freddie finally appeared, making her and Brian turn around to see he was coming in with Roger that had an upset expression on his face and his usual vanity that was characteristic of him. His face softened at the sight of Audrey, she turned around with the raging feelings coming through her veins again an playing the piano angrily.

"I feel that he has something to do with your unusual mood, too", commented Brian as he saw the tension between their eyes.

"No comment", she said while she intended to keep doing what she had to do, almost ignoring him to the point he stood up to go to the boys.

"Idiot", she mumbled as she was so focused in her anger that the words came quickly from her mouth. "You walked into the party, like you were walking onto a yacht... you had one eye in the mirror, as you watched yourself..", she was hitting the keys and angrily singing, calling the attention of the three guys that were speaking softly between them.

"Oh, she's very pissed", said Freddie in surprise while raising his eyebrow at the girl that was pouring her feelings out.

"And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner, they'd be your partner and you're so vain, what else to do with a pretty face? You're so vain, I bet you think you have me in the palm of your hand... Don't you, don't you, don't you?", her anger seemed to be lowing as she finished singing. She seemed to be improvising a lot lately. Her feelings were blooming lately, whether it was embarrassment or anger or that she didn't wanted to admit she was disappointing that Roger spoke to her like that when she daydreamed him being the right for her so many times and hating herself for doing so.

"Fuck", she mumbled in a whisper as she heard silence behind her. It was crystal clear that they heard her.

Fortunately, John came by with a big grin that turned into a embarrassment one when he saw his cousin glaring at him from Freddie's piano. It was then when Brian had a laughing fit again, he would never get tired of teasing Deaky the same way Deaky teased him.

"You told them!", Deaky was beyond embarrassed as his ears went red and Audrey shook her head.

"Couldn't help it, he went straight through my brain and saw it - I mean, bloody hell Deaky, next time give me a warning or something", she shrugged.

Freddie didn't seemed happy to be one of the ones that didn't knew what was going on. "What is going on?"

"Deaky was caught shagging Veronica on the couch by Audrey", simply said Brian as Roger now was congratulating Deaky and saying something about joining the man club or some nonsense that made Audrey roll her eyes.

"Wanker", she mumbled.

Freddie now was by her side, sitting on the piano. "That was amazing, darling... anger got out the best of you", he chuckled.

"Yeah, I've been an blind idiot way too many times", she glared in Roger's direction as he teased Deaky with so much joy.

She knew he was not worth it... but her feelings couldn't hear her brain telling herself not to fall for him.
