Finding the Way | 𝗥𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗼𝗿

Chapter 28

The sensation of coming back home after a long time was a feeling Audrey enjoyed.

She was sitting beside the window while drinking a cup of hot tea. The weather was not as bad as she thought it would be in that season, and she almost fell her heart jump off by her throat when she heard somebody enter in her home.

Then she remembered she gave her keys to Roger.

"Shit", she said to herself as she sipped her tea.

"Hi, love!", Roger came smiling brightly with bags on his hands. Audrey raised her eyebrows in interest.

Roger had been the sweetest boyfriend somebody could ever ask. The first thing Audrey did when they came back from America was telling her parents the current situation.

They celebrated and were impatient for her to bring him to their house and make the formal in-laws greeting. She had in mind they had to do it before heading out for the last leg of the tour.

The worst part of it was that after the tour, the record company insisted on them going back to the studio so they wouldn't lose the crowd's validation and approval.

"We have nine days before we head out for Japan", he reminded her after he pecked her lips and went into the kitchen, followed by a curious Audrey. He started taking things off the bag. "Can you believe it?! We'll meet Japan!", he was gleaming in joy. She never saw him as happy as he was in that exact moment.

She felt the same joy as she saw him taking out some chocolate cake off some plastic tray. 

"You bought that for me?", she asked with heart-shaped eyes. He nodded and gave her some with a fork. "I fucking adore you", she then digged in and he laid his arms on the countertop as he stared at her lovingly. She was such a weakling for sweets.

Their moment alone didn't last long as somebody opened the door again, as if it was his own damn house and stepped in. Deaky, Brian and Freddie stepped in, the two latter stared at them stating obviously that they knew they were a couple. Well, almost everyone knew except for Deaky that was looking at the remaining pieces of cake with lust.

"Hi lads, mind to invite me some?", said as soon as he sat down beside Audrey. She glared at him, but gave him some - remembering that he would always share his sweets with her.

"What are you all doing here?", asked Roger with a smile as Brian crossed his arms over his chest. His marriage ring shining brightly over his finger, as soon as he came back, he and Chrissy got engaged.

Mary popped her head from the kitchen door and greeted with joy, making Audrey laugh. She gave her and Roger suggestive looks before sitting down in the table. 

"We have to plan whatever we'll be doing when we get back - and it's better doing it now than when we are shitfaced after the concerts and interviews", said Freddie while sitting down at the available spot beside Audrey, in her right. He nudged at her, while pointing at Roger with his head and a smile.

"What were you doing here, Rog?", it seems that something clicked within Deaky's head and he stared at Roger rather questioningly. 

"Brought Audrey a gift, I owed her a favour", he shrugged.

"Oh, that's nice"

Everyone in the room except for Audrey and Roger wanted to face-palm so hard. Why didn't he see anything strange between the couple? It was so obvious!

"Anyways, Reid and Paul might be on their way right now", Brian looked at his watch on his wrist, making Audrey drop her fork.

"DID YOU JUST SAY THAT REID AND PAUL WOULD BE COMING A-AT MY HOUSE?", she freaked out, her eyes wide open.
