Finding the Way | 𝗥𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗼𝗿

Chapter 21

Benjamin Young was almost jumping in excitement when he saw the Queen band making their way into his store with big smiles on their faces - as they were about to embark into a new tour around England and then some Europe countries before heading to America for the second time: but now they were the main band to do so.

"Freddie! So nice to see you, my friend", Ben gave Freddie a tight hug as he laughed.

"It is always a pleasure to see you, darling", he said heartwarmingly, having a soft heart for the man that changed his best friend's life.

Audrey was carrying boxes from the back storage when she saw her favorite four guys in the store and almost dropped the boxes she had in arms when she saw them smiling at her. 

She was so excited to join them in this tour by Ben's petition to do it.

"You can't miss the biggest event of your friends and colleagues' lives!", he told her while they were fixing the garden that morning. "It also means doing a long trip with your lover boy", he teased. She rolled her eyes.

She also remembered that she promised going with them this time and despite that, she kept working with her parents in the record store as now Sheer Heart Attack was sold-out and they were waiting for more to come in. "Dad!", she pretended to be surprised. "You didn't tell me that royalty was visiting us today", she joked with a raised eyebrow.

"It's from royal decree that you must come to lunch with us... and your lovely parents are, of course, more than invited", said Freddie while still holding Ben's arm with fondness. Ben's reaction was priceless. He was delighted by the invitation.

Then, Mr. Young curiosly stared at the blonde lad, the one that Audrey had told them about so much that he couldn't help but grin at the sight of him. "Introduce me to your friends", he said, and Audrey nodded quickly while standing close to them.

"Dad, these are Brian, Roger, and John - my cousin", she said while pointing to each and every one of them.

"Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Young", said Brian politely while greeting him with a handshake.

"You are my uncle now, right?", John joked, making Ben chuckle and nod. But he was excited to meet the last one, the great Roger Taylor.

"It's great to meet you", said simply Roger, but Ben leaned in to whisper in his ear much to everyone else's surprise, but to Audrey, that was beyond embarrassed.

"You can call me father-in-law when we are alone", he whispered, making Roger chuckle.

"Will do, sir", he said, a bit embarrassed but giving a cheeky grin to Audrey that looked the other way, playing with her hair.

Even though the rest were curious, they were brushed off it as Lena came into the store and greeted everyone else. Roger poked Audrey's side, and he leaned to whisper: "I just met my father-in-law, he's great!"

She explained to him briefly that she told her parents about him and that Ben was only teasing him, but Roger seemed thrilled to be considered like that by Ben and Lena. Not minding at all that they actually weren't in a relationship.

After leaving the store under the other part-timer's eye, they all left in two separate groups; being Deaky the one driving Audrey and her parents in his car and Roger driving the rest of the guys in his car to Freddie's family home. 

It wasn't the first time Audrey was there, since they went there on Freddie's birthday and she remembered that Freddie's dad was not happy to listen that he changed his name to Freddie Mercury, ditching his real name and making everyone learn that he was born in Zanzibar. Now, they were celebrating in a much modest way that they were going off to tour in America.
