Audrey was sure the twins were making their telepathy thing again between them as they were grinning to each other.
"What now?", she asked rudely to them as she made her way to her fridge.
"Oh, nothing sis", Leo said nonchalantly as he made a suggestive gesture with his hands. Audrey glared at him.
"Just making the countdown until our dear cousin John ties the knot", Harry complemented, and then both of them sipped their tea at the same tame, making Audrey's eyes twitch at the lack of patience.
"Fuck both of you", she mumbled, while taking orange juice off the fridge.
"Come on sis, haven't you seen the way Johnny boy's eyes twinkle whenever you simply say her name?", Leo said with an airy tone of voice with clear sarcasm and tease in his voice.
"Or the way he wears his perfume as if he never heard about showering at all?", Harry continued with heavy dramatism in his voice.
"What about the passion nights were we can hear his bed moving from our flat?", Leo kept saying.
She was losing her patience as she placed the orange juice violently over the table making the twins smirk before taking another sip of their tea again. Audrey's eye was twitching and they were living the moment. They loved getting on Audrey's nerves.
"Listen here, you fucking dimwits-", however the door opening interrupted her ranting. She kept doing what she was meant to do as soon as she saw the boys coming in. The twins were scoffing at her, not believing she hid her true self in front of others.
"Let's have a chat, sweetheart!", said Freddie while pulling her from her arm, to which she obeyed and went with him to the living room, searching for a place where the twins wouldn't hear them.
"Hi Fred", said the twins in unison, being greeted with a small smile and a nod from him as he pushed Audrey to the living room.
All of them said hi to her and she only sat on the sofa between Brian and Freddie, they all had bottles in their hands. They came drinking, but they weren't even tipsy yet. Audrey sighed while looking at her hands, she was playing with her fingers. She wasn't feeling in the mood.
The twins were such an incredibly baffling pair. They always knew how to crawl under her skin. It always was like that. She decided to pay attention when Freddie poked her rib and she slapped his hand away. But the smile in her face wasn't that joyous.
"We are planning on recording our next album soon... now we have Roy's trust and a small deal with the EMI", Brian began saying and the light in Audrey's face lit the whole room in a bright smile.
"That's great, guys!", she jumped to take Freddie and Brian's arms and started squealing in joy.
"You are a great contributor to us, and we want you to continue to do so... the royalties for the songs you compose and write with us are already on your bank account", Brian said and she was surprised to hear that. It wasn't something she was expecting.
"You're joking, right?", they all shook their heads and smiled cheekily at her.
"Courtesy of your dearest cousin, John Deacon", said Deaky while making a funny pose and Audrey couldn't hold herself from throwing herself to hug him.
"You idiot!", she was so happy and he was running out of air, because her hug almost crushed all of his bones. But the smile on his face also was mostly because she was happy, and that was one of his few priorities in life. To see her happy.
They all had a new deal going on and recording soon, but still, they wanted to play once more in the old bar where it all began... and even once more at the Imperial College where they spent most of their nights together.
