Annabeth POV
"Gods that was funny." Piper said as Hazel cooked them food, it was her shift for the dinner. But she always made the best. Piper always managed to burn the water and Annabeth.......well the microwave didn't deserve what she did to it.
Annabeth picked up her plate and before she shoveled food into her mouth she nodded. It was some sort of gumbo stew, Hazel's favorite food from her childhood home in New Orleans.
"Annabeth, do you have your resume all put together?" Hazel said and looked at Annabeth hopefully. She nodded. It had been put together for a week and a half, but getting a job on the other hand was not as easy.
"Tomorrow is Saturday so I'm going down and try to find a job." Annabeth tried to cover her worry, both of her roommates where working their butts off to pay rent and college, luckily Pipers mom gave her some money to keep going, for another month atleast. But that wouldn't last, as Piper is very independent.
"Good." Piper said between spoonfulls of gumbo. Hazel shook her head like she was the parent as Piper spilled little bits all over her shirt.

"Hello?" Annabeth said as she walked into the bookstore. It was called Olympic Books. It was a old but fresh looking bookstore in the city, she liked it. The shelves looked freshly polished and it was a bit busy on Saturday, kids reading in a kids corner, filled with colorful chairs and cute picture books. A guy about her age with shaggy blonde hair and greyish blue eyes sat at the front desk as people bought some books.
When everyone had left the line she walked up to the guy. He seemed very nice and wore a pair of jeans and a grey long sleeve.
"What can I help you with?" He asked politely.
"I'm here for an interview." Annabeth said back in her best manners. The guy grinned and pointed to a spiral staircase in the back, light spilling down it like a skyligjht. She thanked him and walked up the spiral staircase. She was nervous, she had been to three other stores today and she knew she wasn't cut out for it.
When she reached the landing she was awestruck. There was a small hallway with three doors, one that was a storage room, since it was cracked open, she saw boxes of books, quills and inks. Two doors that looked identical, one said MALCOM and another had no name. She looked to the last door and it said OWNER so she knocked on it softly.
"Come in." A curt voice said from behind the door. She opened it. The office was a nice size. There where rows and rows of books, most likely personal favorites. A sky light was positioned over a carved birch wood desk and a lady sat behind it.
She even looked scary from afar. She had long blonde hair streaked with grey and the brightest grey eyes, that pierced Annabeths gaze. She was almost forced to look down.
"Sit down." The lady said calmly. Annabeth nervously inched forward and sat down. The lady seemed nice, but with a stern look and at once she knew not to cross her.
"You must be Annabeth Marie Chase." The lady shook her hand and Annabeth shook it back, reluctant at first.
"Yes ma'am I'm here for the job." She started to pull out her resume but the lady stopped her.
"You don't need that. Just answer some honest questions." She said. Annabeth slid the resume back into her purse and answered these questions.
"So what is your favorite color?" She asked and Annabeth sat there for a second, shocked that she hadn't asked any questions about her experinces or anything.
"Sea green." She said after a second. The lady nodded and scribbled it down. She asked several questions about more personal things, like her favorite books, how she arranged things at home and her favorite places to sit. She liked to sit in little nooks, and cuddle into her warmth.
"Thank you so much." Annabeth said at the end of interview. She nodded and stood up and shook the ladys hand again.
"I'm pleases to say you have got the job." The lady said, looking very pleased with herself. Annabeths heart leapt into the sky. She got the job!
"When do I start?" She said happily and practically bounced into the air. The lady chuckled a little.
"Your shifts are about four to five hours. So from eleven to four." The lady chuckled and Annabeth beamed but another question popped out of her own mouth.
"Whats your name ma'am?" She asked. The lady knit her eyebrows together.
"Its Athena."
