My One &Only (Percabeth AU) √

Percy POV

It was Christmas Eve and the world seemed to turn around and around. We all sat around the table at my moms house, eating her roast beef and famous blue mashed potatoes. Everyone I loved was here. All of my friends, my girlfriend. 

Did I love her? 

Maybe. 

"So Percy, your last song....how did it go with the press?" Paul asked, leaning in to feed my sister. 

I shrugged and answered. "Stupid camera men. Wanted to know about Annabeth not the song." I said and took another sip of the cranberry juice. Paul smiled thinly. I saw Annabeth blush fiercely out of the corner of my eye. 

"Leo Valdez, stop putting green beans in Jasons hair." Sally said sternly and Leo froze, and Jason looked up and glared at Leo who shrunk back. 

My mother was a mom to everyone at the table. It was nice because she had so much love for everyone. 

I stole a loving glance at Annabeth before anyone could notice and continued to cut up the roast beef smothered in a greasy spice that could make even the President or Octavian's mouth water.

Dinner was gone quickly and we decided since we wouldn't all be together on Christmas morning, Jason had to work a 3.am to noon shift at the graveyard(to save up money of course) and Leo had to go visit his father and Piper had to visit her mother early in the morning. 

I each got the seven of us something. But I was most exited for Annabeth to receive her gift. 

We all sat around the giant coffee table and everyone had at least six or seven presents each. We went from youngest to oldest(my sister, then Hazel and so on.) but before we could even start our chatting was rudely interrupted. 

Knock knock. 

The door. Paul got up, pushing his horn rimmed glasses up his nose and yanked the door open showing the ever so Nico Di-Angelo and Will Solace, accompanied by the most dangerous Thalia Grace. 

"Thought we'd crash your party." Will grinned and Paul invited them in. Everyone knew everyone and my sister jumped out of her seat and bolted to Thalia squeezing her in a big hug and Thalia broke into a rare smile. 

"Hows my Zo Zo? Is your stupid big brother treating you well?" said Thalia to Zoe who backed up a step. 

"Yeah but I like his girlfriend and YOU better." She said happily. I blushed and so did Annabeth. It was no surprise my sister liked someone I cared about more than me. But she's only six so its fine. 

We didn't bring presents for those three but Paul and Sally(who had actually KNOWN, bought them each two things from wherever you buy stuff)

It was so much fun, ripping open the cheap paper and finding what we could have. I sat next to Annabeth, our sides pressed up against each other, our warmth contained with each other. I could stay like this forever, my heart it beating pretty fast it might pop out of my body. 

My sister gets a new dollhouse from Jiper(Jason is SUPER happy) and some clothes and a new bike from Thalia. 

Hazel went next and Frank bought her this really pretty pair of green earings within gold. THEIR RELATIONSHIP IS SO CUTE. 

Gods I need help. I swear on the Styx I'll get help. 

Leo and Piper, who's birthdays where almost overlapping, Piper went first. 

She got a cool new skateboard and some dancing water speakers for her music. Jason got her a pair of earrings that where little doves. Their first date was at a very pretty park overlooking the ocean outside of the city. 

There has to be more than love between them. 

Leo and Jason go next, Leo got a new tool belt(he set the other one on fire for an experiment.) and Jason got a cool new yellow sweatshirt with a eagle imprinted upon it(I think I heard Annabeth mutter something about Piper stealing all of Jasons sweatshirts. But I pretended to not. 

Frank got a new bow and quiver, revel to Thals brand new bow from Paul. Nico got a cool levitating skill-hand and Will got the best First Aid Kit in the century. I saw his boyfriend rubbing his hands together almost evilly. 

Finally it came to my turn. I ripped open the blue dolphin package and found a leather jacket. It was from Annabeth. I picked it up and found it wasn't any jacket. It had blue and grey cursive writing upon the front. 

Seaweed Brain.

It was amazing. 

"I love it." I whispered and leaned in to kiss her but Leo cleared his throat and looked miffed. 

"PDA lovebirds, you have a kid here." he said pointing his thumbs at himself. I stifled a laugh and pulled away 

Finally it was HER turn. She opened everyone elses presents where books and other stuff but mine was special and I knew she would love it. 

The small package wasn't cheap but it was more than worth it. She found a small boy, flat and square. One you would put a necklace in. She opened it carefully and found the most beautiful thing I've been glad to spend my money on. It was a thin gold chain and instead of a pretty pearl on the end it was a piece of rough cut red coral. 

Its because I loved her. But how do I say that? 

"I love it, its the most beautiful thing ever." She whispered and handed me the necklace. She turned and I brushed aside her silky curls and looped the necklace around her neck. She turned and I saw the results. It took my breath away how beautiful she could be without trying. 

I wanted to kiss her so badly but I refrained. I would have to wait for later. 

The night ended quicker than I thought it would. 

"Nah its okay dude, I should get home so I can get some sleep." He said and pulled Piper out of the penthouse, who unlike the REAL Piper was giggling and blushing. I know and know there is a lot more love between them than ever. 

Frank and Hazel left with Leo fifteen minutes after. Leo kept lighting his new lighter and scaring Frank who had a giant fear of fire. The three party crashers left and now it was just me, my girlfriend and my family. 

"So why don't we get going then?" I said to Annabeth. She nodded and we left, my sister asleep on my mothers lap and my stepfather making a small snack. 

As soon as we got out of the door and into the elevator I wrapped my arms around my girlfriend and kissed her. I didn't care what others thought. She kissed back, tasting like sweet and sour and smelling like lemons. 

We made our way home and when we got into the hall way I pressed her up against the wall and kissed her madly, I wanted to know how much I loved her without saying anything. She kissed back, our lips in sync and our arms wrapped against each other. 

My heart its beating so fast I think it might burst out of my chest, my feelings for her have multiplied every day, becoming bigger and and bigger until I can't see the end of the number. 

I have't really dated a girl. Not really. I could have any girl. Any person I want. ANYONE. 

Everyone has a soulmate and one way or another they find each other. 

Luckily for me I found her in a park and I think I found my One & Only.
