When I finally got off work, I was relieved. Before I left, I quickly checked my status on the hero rankings. I was in last place which I hated. Even children ranked higher than me.
"Is there a problem, Aurora?" someone asked me.
I looked up to see Mebd staring at me.
"What is it Mebd?" I asked.
"You're concerned about your status, aren't you?" she responded.
Mebd looked like she was going back to Henry's apartment. She had on her favorite white coat and dress. She was one of the few people who also knew my secret identity. The only other people who knew were Henry and my brother.
"Did I tell you about my origin?" Mebd then asked me.
Before I could stop her, she began to remind me of a story that I had heard thirty-seven times before. The story of her downfall...
