Chapter 20
Ever since Bubbler had nearly been killed by the 50ft woman, he had been trying to make criminals retire. He and The Raider were also super terrified of Nightmarionne. They claimed the monster was 20ft tall and looked like a charred skeleton. I had only ever heard the creature screech and I believed Bubbler's stories to be hogwash.
"Listen to me Jackhammer-" Bubbler said.
"I already know what you're going to say," I told them.
"Then you know what we think" Rainbow Raider responded.
"Well, I have an idea," a voice said oozing with pride.
I turned around to see Susie who had come back with my food.
"I've heard the Bubbler constantly talk," she pondered "but no one has joined him..."
She then pointed at me.
"Jackhammer, I have a bet for you" Susie grinned.
"What sort of bet?" I responded.
Susie explained her idea to the four of us. I was going to fight Nightmarionne. If I won, Bubbler and the Raider would do a job for me. If I lost, I would forsake my criminal career. What could possibly go wrong...
