No one's POV. (3rd person)
Charizard flew the balloon higher into the sky as Noivern followed. Once they found a good place to stop, Charizard dropped the balloon again.

Noivern used a move called flamethrower to crack the glass. Then the two dragons swooped down and cought the Pokemon.

But, one Pokemon was missing: Luxray.

Luxray still never woke up. Noivern flew and Luxray landed on his back. The dragons then returned to the ground, back to their partners.

The air balloon had crashed, creating so much dust. When the dust cleared away, the dragons stood proudly with the now free Pokemon.

Litten strolled back to Ash's side.

Charizard and Marowak retreated back to Kiawe's side.

Umbreon trotted to his partner, Gladion.

But, Cally went to Luxray, Noivern, and Jolteon.

She fell to her knees, bending over, and crying on Luxray. He was bruised and injured.

"Please don't leave me, boy," Cally cried. "Please don't go."

"Lycan," her Forest Form Lycanroc voiced.

"Jolt!"

"Noi."

"Luxray, please come home," she whispered. Persian came out of his Poke ball, sitting next to his companion.

Gladion walked over and kneeled beside his partner. He could feel her vulnerability showing. He never took it as a good sign.

"Come on. Pull through, bud," he mumbled.

Wrapping an arm around Cally, he pulled her close. She put her head on his shoulder.

"He's not going to make it," Professor Burnet spoke sadly.

"Don't say that! He will pull through! You don't even know him!" Cally screamed.

"Cally-"

"No, Gladion. How are you guys already giving up on him? Don't you believe he will make it, Glad?" Cally cried harder.

"It's hard to tell, little one. It's hard to tell." Gladion stared back at the unmoving Luxray. The only way they could tell he was still alive was Luxray's steady breathing.

"I can't loose him. I just can't. He's been with me from the start. How can I just loose him now?"

"Everything has a time limit, Cal. Some things are just meant to move on," Gladion gently told her.

"But not us, right? You won't leave me, will you?" Cally gazed up at her partner.

"Of course not. Why would I?"

"I don't know," Cally shrugged. Her crying was slightly calmed down by now.

"Lux-Luxray?" Luxray called out.

"Luxray!" Cally cried, diving in and holding her Pokemon close.

"He's alive!" Ash cheered proudly.

"That is why we never give up on these Pokemon," Misty shouted.

"You're okay, boy. You're okay. I'm right here," Cally murmured to him. Luxray licked her cheek gently.

"We missed you, bud," Kukui stated, putting his hands on his hips.

"I'll be darned. He did make it," Doctor Oak breathed out.

"He did. My buddy made it," Cally sighed, happy that this was over.

But it really wasn't.
